Metal Gear Solid - By far the greatest storyline I've ever seen in a game or any other form of entertainment. MGS4 was probably my most anticipated game of all time, I was insanely hyped for that game to the point where I thought I might be overhyping it. Hell, I even bought a PS3 mainly so I could play MGS4 and it blew every expectation out of the water. To say I was left speechless would be a massive understatement.
Resident Evil - This is tied with MGS as my favorite game series. People say RE4 took the series in a bad direction, no, that would be RE5! RE4 revolutionized third person shooters yet was still able to maintain an atmosphere that is still better than any survival horror game to date. Besides, by the time RE4 came out, the series needed a revitalization badly! Of course, I love the old RE games even though I started on RE4. RE2 and the REmake are my two other favorites in the series.
Other series I love include: GTA, Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Final Fantasy to an extent but I guess because I also like the new ones, I'm not a "real" fan, right?:roll:

i generally agree with what you post. but re4 revolutionized 3rd person shooters. I dont get that at all. especially when you have mgs on your list, and that is a way better 3rd person shooter. When you draw your weapon in RE4 & 5, you lose the ability to walk!? Ridiculous. Thats a step back, and thats not even debatable.
