Silly question everyone

anyone know any free-roaming RPGS for PS3? besides Skyrim and Oblivion please! I already know about these 2

I want a free roam, that has the following:

Towns to walk around and interact with people and buy items

a huge outdoor scene where I can roam the world and kill off random enemies that constantly respawn so I can keep going back for more random battles

Lots of variety in weapons, such as more blades or a bow

anyone know any RPGs that fit this criteria for PS3? thanks :)

Dragons Dogma, it's not as large as Skyrim but it is free roam, enemies respawn, lots of cool armors/weapons, and you can choose whichever class you'd like to be, there is only one big city with people to interact with but other little rest stops/forts along the way and the starting town, it won't disappoint for what you're looking for. To top it off, it has much better combat than the elder scrolls and is 3rd person so you can appreciate all that cool armor you get.

Yeah, it has everything you're looking for, except the game itself isn't of good quality, same thing with Kingdom of Amalur.

Thanks for the input :) and everyone thanks for the suggestions, even though I have both Fallouts and unfortunately not going to buy Far Cry 3, not a big fan of that series. but I will probably rent it someday

Kingdoms of Amalur, you can't go to every point in the map, some roads are narrow but there are vast areas and dungeons with big rooms, the loot is excellent and you can destroy items to component to create awesome weapons and armor

Dragons Dogma like the other guy said. It's a great game and this genre is surprisingly lacking imo. (not counting Gothic 4, Two Worlds 2 etc which I thought were mediocre)

Dragons Dogma isn't bad per say, but there is better. I played the original 2 Worlds and it was pretty bad. Never played #2, but I seen youtube vids of it and your character runs like he has a stick up his a$$.

Darksiders 1 and 2 are honorable mentions. Darksiders 1 is one of the few multi plat games that runs better on ps3. It actually runs flawlessly on ps3. Tho not exactly free roam, the games are more Zelda'ish in that sense.

Kingdoms of Amalur is awesome and right up your alley. Free roam, a lot of enemies, loot, weapons and armor to make, towns with NCP's to talk to, lots of sidequests.

Far Cry 3 is very good free roam adventure rpg/fps.

My advice would be to try Dragons Dogma Adventure demo and Kingdoms of Amalur, my encounter with KoA wasn't pleasant and I'm very glad there was a demo up there to prevent me from buying it. Even if the camera and small bug glitches were fixed, it was a very generic and sub par experience.
