Furoius abt ps3 price drop

i was totally pissed off today when i realised that the ps3 had a 100 dollars price drop i do not understand y sony had to do this at such an early stage i think that wat they are doing is seriously unfair to us gamers who had bought thier ps3 at 100 dollars more...

we are the ones who are thier faithful followers and had bought thier expensive machine when everyone are complaining if this is wat sony is doing im seriously dissappointed by them shouldnt they at least give some benefits for those people who had bought ps3 at the launch price? like free psn credits or watever im SERIOUSLY very angry and dissappointed at them

You buy something early on in its life, later on the price drops and it turns out you could have paid less if you just waited. Happens with every piece of technology in the universe, get over it. Unless you think the people that bought launch PS2s should be upset now cause they're selling for only $120.

Anyone who owns a PS3 should be happy about a price drop. Price drop = more people buying = more games for the PS3 and more people to play online with.

Though i do think there should have been a longer wait untill a price drop. Like, maybe September, october, November? Ready for christmas time :).

Microsoft compensated people when they reduced the original xbox price just under a year after launch so why can't Sony do the same.

Some PS3 owner who have owned the PS3 since launch would feel less ripped off it Sonynever had such a badyear with games and online feature.

u guys misinterpreted me im nt against a price drop but im just shocked and angry that it happen so fast (less than half a yrfrom launching) shouldnt they wait a bit longer? like till christmas or watever ? than we wont feel so ripped off although obviously a price drop may do more wonders for exclusive like HAZEEE:P

Did M$ really compensate them? in wat way?? i think that sony can compensate by giving psn creits lol or a free downloaded game of ur choice from their store? wont that be a win win situation for both sony and us hard core supporters?

Microsoft sent out free games to people who bought the xbox before the price reduction. There was a list of games you could pick from and Micorsoft sent them out through the post.

Price goes down = more people purchasing console = more games!

Quit complaining. Is $100 really that much? If it is, I'm sorry I opened my mouth. Sounds a little harsh but I'm sick of hearing about price points and the PS3.

ummm it's been like 9 months here in the us where the price drop is, thats as close to a full year as it is 6 months.

Im just pissed off that the price drop is only in north america and not in europe where i live because even before the price drop in north america its still way more expensive here in europe:evil::evil::evil::evil:Dilan120

Everything always drops in price over time. If you want to pay less, simply wait till it drops! Get over it.

Yeah seriously dude, try to at least act mature. This is a good thing for the people that do not have the ps3 yet. I have had mine for 7 months and the experience i have had with the hardware is worth the money I paid and more. Sony was making a profit (do not believe me? it was reported by bloomberg today) on the console and was at a point in time where it could drop its prices. Not only do we get more people to play online with but we will end up with more exclusives and multiplat titles because of the larger install base.longhorn7

Dude you HAVE to start giving links, seriously, I googled what you just said, nothing except talk of a 50% profit LOSS because of the PS3, I went to the Bloomberg site, searched Playstation 3, no news since launch, give LINKS when you think you have a point. The Playstation 3 is not profitable, it never was, and it won't be for a year or two still.

EDIT: Ok, OK, I found the link, read it, and wow. An ANALYST says the PS3 was profitable. Tretton refused to comment on the cost of the machine. Dude, if you listen to analysts, then there will be no PS4, and Sony should just pack it in right now.

I'm pissed as well. I understand that price will drop eventually. But this is way toearly its not even 1 year.

They r doing this to increase the sales of the ps3. So stop crying. They never would have done it if sales were high.

ok i bought a launch ps3 too but i sold it to my older brother for 800$ back then since people started talking of a price drop sure i cna always borrow it but helives 3000 miles away shipping costs these days not worth it well now i can get another ps3 for myself for a even cheaper price and warhawk what is is 50 people on line in one game if this price drop never existed u would have had only like 3 games going on that game now by jan1st u will see the ps3 units sky rocket out of the stores into some ones living room. sonys initiel sold units times 3.
