Flashpoint Dragon Rising.unrealtron
SO wrong. Sorry, but this is just... No.
This game has more going for it than ANY CoD game, and kicks the snot out of every FPS out there. I absolutely loved it, best tactical shooter on the system, bar-NONE. It has a depth, and reality to it that makes it more interesting, and more like what it must be like to get through a firefight than anything I've played before, and certainly since. Changing weapons, bandaging your self or squad mates takes precious time, bullet-drop and distance/ wind etc. are factors for making your shot... And if an enemy gets within 100m of you, you're a dead man walking. Missions can take over 45 min. to complete on the high difficulty (which I'm sure you never tried), and when you finally beat a mission, there's a level of satisfaction which is unrivaled on the PS3. "Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" is one of my top-5 games of the gen. The problem most people have with it is that it's not "Pick-up-And-Play" - You need to get the commands down for using your squad properly, including formations, covering fire, suppression... You have to work as a team, and that is elusive for some gamers who want to get their weapon and head off into the fight alone. It takes patience, and skill, especially on more difficult settings where you have no HUD, no aim assists, no nothing. Just a map, and a squad.
Now, if you want to call "OpFlash: Red River" crap, then you'll find me in total agreement.
:)
But "Dragon Rising" was excellent. If you still own it, I would urge you to give it another try, and be patient with yourself... Once you see the beauty, I swear you'll thank me.
