You don't see many games with one. Would you like to see more? Which have been your favorite? I thought Silent Hill 3 and Syberia were both great games.

Jade from Beyond Good & Evil was great, and Faith from Mirror's Edge was cool.

I don't mind playing as female characters either.

Doesn't matter if you play as a female or male. Just give me an exciting SP mode and story that takes more than 24 hours to finish.

lmao...somehow I thought I was the only person in the world who played and appreciated syberia 1 & 2.. =) Gald to see someone else acknowledge the game. Lara has always been a favorite...even if she is dying, she still holds a special place in my gaming history. the following deserve an honorable mention: ONI...that game had a good concept, good gameplay, interesting story...it just didn't deliver on everything promised after the release =( Jade from BG&E

Yeah, video games need more female leads.

Syberia was a good game, as was Heavenly Sword.

The only male lead I've ever been able to connect with is Drake from Uncharted; other than him, all other male leads end up being stereotyped and lame.

I was wondering, when I added that game, if anyone would even know what the hell I was talking about :D. Syberia (Siberia)?? It's cold there.

The good news is that we will be getting really cool female characters coming soon, Bayonetta^ and Ruby from Wet. My personal favs has been Lara Croft from the original PS games and Joanna Dark if we are talking other platforms.

I guess I will have to be the one odd ball here. I don't know what it is, but when I play as a female I can not get into the game as much as when I play as a male... I guess I am sexiest when it comes to games.

I mean to tell the truth I wish that every game that is made has an option that you could create your own character, but maybe thats just me.

Mirror's Edge was a great game and id think it would suck if it had a male instead..same goes for Heavenly Sword

Honestly, most of my favorite games have female leads. Silent Hill 3 for instance is my favorite of the franchise, and my favorite game of all time. Then of course there's Faith from Mirror's Edge, Nariko and Kai from Heavenly Sword, and Ellen from Folklore. I wouldn't mind seeing more female leads, but I don't really think theres any shortages. There's quite a few games on the horizon with female leads.

Believe it or not, companies are hesitant to release games with female leads because of the kids who think it's weird. There are more adolescent male gamers than anything so they cater to that unfortunately. It's ironic though as you never hear a girl say she's uncomfortable using a male lead character.

I don't really care. As long as a game has a good storyline, thats all that matters. Regardless if they are male or female.
