GameStop's 50% off games special?

I just went to gamestop to check out that deal. Its kinda BS imo, only on a few select games and hell they didnt have much of the games. The only too i like was mw2 which was only 10 dollars off the real price and AC2 for 30. I did get ac2 for that price and they only had 2 copys of it so i bought one. To me the sale really isnt that great. I thought i would be on more games they what they got but thats not the case.

I was expecting more, oh well...

yeah I picked up ACII. I hated the first one but hopefully this one will be better.

all the gs's by me were already selling blazblue for like $20 or 30. thats a good pick up. id still pay full price for it. probably the best fighter on the ps3 imo.

out of what they have...

bayonetta, ac2, fallout, and mw are the only ones that interest me.

the sale said hot NEW titles on sale. yea, so much for that.

I did get AC2 for 30 dollars but like some have said the sale is a joke and a big disappointment.

Just bought the first modern warfare today. Pretty good deal at $20 considering it was still selling for $40 beforehand.

It has probably been stated many times in this thread already but it's UP TO 50%... just like any kind of sale.. whether it's a videogame store or a shopping mall.. That means 1%-50%... it's " UP TO." And not all games will be featured on this sale... ONLY SELECTED videogames.. Check the website for a list.

If you have some extra pocket change and you're interested in something new or old on the market, I would go down there anywhere, or shop online. I am 99.9% sure..games like God of War 3, Heavy Rain, FF13 will not be on the sale.... Come on guys, get real. Most of the sales will be on old games.. and they'll probably set a few NEW games (less than 5) at 20-50% off. I'm willing to bet anything on it. Knowing Gamestop, and most retailers.. that would be more than likely.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Look for Buy 2 pre-owned games, get 1 free promotions, or buy 1 get 1 free promotions, when they come around the corner. Those promos are far better. But like I said, take this opportunity, go down there to Gamestop retailer, perhaps, and check it out. Promos vary store to store, versus online. But GENERALLY speaking, a few games will be half off, or at a high percentage off the price tag.

I was thinking of picking up Blazblue or Prototype. I've already got the psp version of Blazblue so I think I'm good on that, but how's prototype anyone? Is it better than inFamous?

Is it worth it for Prototype? $20? I'm still on the fence. The biggest turn off are the bland graphics, especially the buildings, landscape, and scenic parts. Is it true? Worst than GTA IV and other sandbox games?

yup. march 26th it starts. there is an ad for it in the back of the newest game informer. good thing too. i still need to get heavy rain, infamous, and fallout 3 for my PS3.

Picked up Disgaea 3, Prototype, X-Men Origins, and COD WaW. Thinking about getting Sacred 2 and Wolfenstein.

Good deals though.

when does the sale end? and who can sell me on the finer points of Bayonetta?

GameDays ends April 25th. (gives me plenty of time to think about whether or not I REALLY want Disgaea 3). As for the finer points of Bayonetta. Attractive female character that gets naked when she casts certain spells and you can fight with guns or with her hair. I ended up getting Prototype yesterday. Had to deal with annoying little kids in the store though. I think some parents use Gamestop as a babysitter or something.
