They are both the best games on the ps3 IMO.. . But i dont know why god of war 3 took 9/10 and uncharted 2 got 9.5\10 .. i think is must be vice versa .. why gamespot consider uncharted 2 better than gow 3 ? .. anybody knows xD? explain plz , Thx

i personally think that both games have shallow gameplay, bayonetta easily has much better combat than god of war, and F.E.A.R. has significantly better gunplay than uncharted 2. I honestly was dissapointed with uncharted2.
But both of these games gameplay isn't actually the point, its about using the medium of games to experience setpieces like a rollercoaster.
This! All it is is an opinion. Everyone has them.i personally think that both games have shallow gameplay, bayonetta easily has much better combat than god of war, and F.E.A.R. has significantly better gunplay than uncharted 2. I honestly was dissapointed with uncharted2.

interesting perspective.
While i enjoyed the two aformentioned games, i do agree with you...it was more about 'hey look what WEEEE can do' vs. solid, layered gameplay.

In thought God of War 3 had a great and fluid combat system for a hack and slash, you could switch between everything on-the-go while playing and not via a pause menu, the transitions were seamless and let you get right into the combos.[QUOTE="hawk549"]

Uncharted 2, however, i thought did not play so fluidly. The platforming elements had Drake behaving more like a whacky magnet than anything. It also had mediocre gun play as well, IMO.

See it is all based around opinions as I am not a fan of Bayonetta at all. GoW is actually the hack and slash that I love, as opposed to most that just feel overly chaotic and annoying. I prefer a more simple setup like zelda games. and UC2 IMO is better then GoWIII. UC2 had amazing multiplayer, never let up in SP, had a better story IMO (GoWIII was a bit...forced), and the graphics were really good throughout. GoWIII's graphics and gameplay really took a dive in parts. Still an amazing game, just not as balanced throughout the whole adventure. It doesnt matter, cause MGS4 beats them both :P.
in my opinion i think valkyria chronicles and heavy rain are one of the best ps3 games i played because i only played mgs 4, demon souls, and lbp
I have uncharted and I have to say I was not impressed with the game. the graphics were good but there was a lot of blur in fast motion sequences that were hard on the eyes. and lets face it

GOW3 on the other hand is just overrated. the story if there even was one sucked. but the gameplay was alright. much prefered the second game but even then just slightly.
funny thing is, I've had uncharted 2 sitting in its gamefly sleeve for like a week and a half cause I cant stop playing Borderlands coop. I have heard its pretty amazing graphicly though and i just picked up a new TV so I am looking forward to seeing it in action.
I didn't care for God of War 3 I liked Dantes Inferno better. GOW3's levels were liniar with very little variety. I didn't find the game very fun. Dantes Inferno might not have been much technicaly speaking but I enjoyed the atmosphere.
I thought Uncharted 2 was pretty to look at and the gameplay was fun. But I think MGS4 is better on every level. I like variety in my game play. I like haveing differnt ways to go about objectives. I also like the japanese creativity in games.
I'm getting sick of liniar games that lead you down a scripted path with no way to deviate from said path.
Uncharted 2 is amazing. Up there with MGS4 as the best PS3 game. God of War 3 was an enormous disappointment for me. It couldn't even hold a candle to GOW2 or even 1. It felt so rushed.
My favorite games are MGS3, Fallout 3, LBP, and RE4. If it's just PS3 then Fallout 3, LBP, Demon's Souls, and Killzone/Resistance. Still need to rent GoW3 during this Summer though.
U2 imo is waaaay better than GOW 3. They didnt really do much other than add more gore to GOW 3 while U2 really improved everything and added a lot of new content. Although GOW3 really cant be beat for button mashing, killing fun. But U2 is arguably one of the best games ever, but not so much GOW3.
