I found that whenever I was offered to lower my difficulty when I was struggling with certain boss battles, even though I said "No" it still made it much easier to beat that boss. Im almost positive that I didnt just get better. I even tested it by not trying hard to beat the boss and still ended up winning. Did anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

I thought this as well, it seemed as if the difficulty slacked off in certain parts, especially boss fights, after I failed quite a few times.

On lower difficulties, enemies attack less often and do less damage. If that's the case, then you probably pressed yes by accident. My favorite thing about the offer to lower difficulty is when you keep dying in a platforming section and they offer to lower the difficulty to easy and then note that ONLY combat will be affected by the decreased difficulty. It's ironic because you're not dying from combat. :P

I noticed it as well today. I was fighting Hades on Titan mode and it asked me if I wanted to lower it and I clicked no and then I beat him easily.

GOW 3 has alot of weird bugs. Like for me, right in the beginning one of the skeletons got stuck behind the root that block the path so Gaia never opened it so I had to restart the game. There were many other bugs like that, where I couldn't get to the next part cause some monster got stuck and I couldn't hit it, so I would have to restart.

A bug that annoys me, is that all your moves are new, each and every time you load a game and it forgets that you already saw it.

I never got this in combat, rather I got it only during puzzle and platforming sections. Then I get the message "...only combat will be affected" :|

What I've noticed from playing the entire series so far one after the other is that after your first death to a boss, your 2nd try is much much harder. Then the 3rd attempt it eases up on you. I think like the 4 attempt it is back to normal. But so far in part 3, it does seem as if maybe some damage carried over, from your attempts. Like with Poseidon when he was sending electric shockwaves at me, basically the 2nd part of the boss fight, I really had no life left after the 1st part, so I was dieing rather easily, but then all of a sudden I beat him lol. So not really for sure yet if some damage carries over, sorta like Bioshock.

I never really noticed many yet, but I have to say im disapointed. Its worse than the second, which was worse than the first. Still a good game, but I was expecting something more in 2010.

Sadly later-later in the game I had to lower the difficulty when it asked me to. It just got way too tough. Especially fighting that (SPOILER>>>>> maybe) Hercules Guy, and the last boss I wont name.

It's not that it changes the difficulty even if you press no. It's because you get used to the enemies patterns of attacks and learn how to counter and you're more cautious.

This happened on several boss fights, I know for a fact that I did press no, and it wasnt just me gettting used to the boss because I tried less and still won.

You're not crazy I think they game takes note when you suck and helps you out I've restarted with more health than I had before.
