not for god of war it isn't. Really, it's not creative, it's just using an tired sci-fi/modern warfare idea, and putting in a mythological (albeit fake, .... hell it's all fake really) character in it. This works for anime but not for god of war. No, you're not crazy, but kratos isn't the right character for this. Plus who would be the last boss? the death star? gimme a break.
what would be kinda cool if kratos started fighting gods from the norse mythology. using thor's hammer to pound in odin. norse gods are way cooler than greek ones anyway.
do you think it would be a good idea? As of now GOW developpers are cramping in ideas of how GOW3 going to take places and i thought to see Kratos going from time to time fighting tank, WWII soldiers, modern Jet fighter, and futuristic Mech machines or take it out to spaces.
Just a possibilities since he is after all a "GOD of War" so in a sense he'd have something to do with all the wars going on around the world. It'd be be very cool to see him fighting anything other than the same ol big scarymonsters in the first and second GOW.

Your not the 1st one to come up with that idea dude, I believe last year someone also made a topic about Kratos time traveling to the future, although cool its not needed and won't really contribute much to the story. GOW3 will take place just when GOW2 ended and it will be the finale, I doubt Sony wants to ruin the story by doing something which has nothing to do with the feel of the 1st two games. Maybe in some kind of a spin-off but I can't see it happening in GOW3 and peronally I don't want it to happen in GOW3.
no. just no. it's Greek Mythology. you want tanks, go play some call of duty. for GOW3, i want to kill the Gods and the titans if they get in the way. If somethings not broke, don't try to fix it.
You can't get the "ugh that's sick man" reaction when fighting tanks and mechs. GoW is all about that, bashing someone's head open with a treasure box, squish someone's head repeatedly on a door...blood, cruelty, all that good stuff goes away when ur fighting mechs.
I don't think anyone will be impressed when he rips a wire or two out of a mech u know.

It would be cool. However, I don't think it will happen. But for you, there is hope. At the end of God of War 1, It shows WWI, WWII, and modern warfare like War on Terrorism. So I guess that could be a little hint. But I doubt it.
