God Of War Collection......

Does anyone know what the price will be for this when released? I own both for PS2, however most likely will have to sell that console & games as it gets little to no attention anymore & I could use the money. Thanks.

Everywhere I see pre-orders for it (US), the price is an extremely reasonable $40.

Actually I read some weeks ago that it won't release in Europe in 2009, but it'll come out one month before GoW III. Now they cancelled its release? That's lame if they did. (although the US release is region free)

Do you have a link for that? I remember you posting a link which stated that it won't release in Europe during 2009, thus giving us Europeans hope for a release sometime after 2009.

SCEE has revealed that the recently announced God of War Collection will not be released in Europe this year.

Talking to VG247, a SCEE rep confirmed that while the company did have plans to bring the game over to these shores, it won't be happening this year.

"We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I and II to SCEE consumers on PS3," said Sony, "however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year."

Oh well. You could always import it if you're desperate.

God of War Collection was announced by Sony Computer Entertainment America on Monday and is a PlayStation 3 release containing upscaled versions of the ****c PS2 titles God of War and God of War II. The game also includes Trophy support.

However, don't go expecting massive graphical upgrades. Speaking in an interview with IGN, Sony Santa Monica's John Hight has said that God of War is simply better in its "pure form".

"We were prepared to upgrade the textures, at least on Kratos on both games, but honestly it's looking so good that we're thinking, you know what? It's probably better to keep it in its pure form," said Hight.

"We're playing around with potentially swapping out textures on some of the user interface and the fonts just to make them a little more readable. It looked great back on the PS2 on a regular TV, or even an HDTV, but once you get into an HDTV running at 720p, some of the text gets a little weedy, so we are going to swap that out."

God of War Collection releases in the US this Christmas, with God of War III shipping worldwide in March.

if i can convince my dad that buying stuff online is safe, then i'll be importing this. i just don't see why they can't release it everywhere at the same time, Australia pays around twice as much as the US for these games and we still get shafted.
