[QUOTE="gameruk2010"]If the game come out this time next year, it would have been almost 3-4 year in development, I have no doubt in my mind that is will be an incredible game.

unfortunately nay. I saw a post E3 interview with Jack tretton (announced GOW3) saying the game hadnt even really begun production. And this was in July. For this reason i think GoW3 will be March 2010 release, which blows.
Damn, nice call.No man.
Just add in a online ranking system like on Rachet And Clank ACIT has fastest playthrough, most deaths, most kills and stuff.
No co-op for this game, maybe for the next series of GOW not this story though.
[QUOTE="Mau-Justice"]DMC4 added an entirely new character...how can you say it's only graphical enhancements.
I know what you're getting at though. A lot of games took some poor first steps into the new gen. God of War hasn't really changed much over the years. The 2 on PS2 and the 1 for PSP all stick with the same formula. They are definitely out to up the ante though. But I also expected them to with other Sony games like Socom...and it disappointed. Either way this is Sony's big name now, and I don't think they've ever let it end up a letdown.
I'm always highly critical of Sony, and besides replay value, no God of War has ever disappointed me.

calling Nero a 'new' character is kinda exaggerating. He looks and fights basically exactly the same as Dante other than the demon arm. They couldve at least made him look even a little different. I liked DMC4, but I think its really no improvement on DMC3 other than in graphics.
You obviously dont know how to use Nero if you think he is virtually the same as Dante. Not even the standard moves they start with aren't even remotely similar. Not to mention, last I checked, Dante didn't have a sword that can "rev" and produce flames. But whatever, your just talking out of your ass.
i think it shud take a leaf out of R2 and do everythin on a grander scale....with multiple routes with different enemies on a wider scale.....god the idea of battles just gets me going...imagine being kratos in the middle of a warzonenellyg619in the middle of a colossal battlefield would be awesome.
It's for the memories :( Look, there's Avataraang and Rogerjak and Signore all in the same thread :PEDIT: this thread is over a year old  who brought it back?

The tweaks and improvements made to the gameplay between the first and second games in the series were enough of an upgrade to me. They added more weapons and new magic, and had many more boss fights, which was great. If we can expect a similar upgrade for the third and final game of the trilogy, then I'll be more than happy.
I agree with rogerjak that you can't have co-op in God of War because that just goes against Kratos' styIe - he strictly works alone. Besides, the unlockable difficulty level and challenge mode after the game, along with the superb and epic story and overall experience, will provide more than enough replayability to justify the $60 price tag in my opinion.
The fighting itself needs to be more interactive - we know it looks amazing, but it just won't do if the gameplay from Bayonetta is superior, which i fear it might be.
I agree with NYC05 on this. I really want the next GOW3 to be a great extension of the what the series is known for. I'm not against a co-op mode, but I wouldn't want to play GOW online. The last great co-op action game, imo was The Warriors. If they can do something similar to that, then I'm all for it. Streets of Rage anyone?cmpepper23streets of rage would be nice....or a new gauntlet, like dark legacy.....
How would you change the gameplay in the third and final game in a trilogy in a way that doesn't upset the fans and mess up the identity of the game? Please be detailed in your explanation, and lay out exactly what Sony should have done, and what you would have liked to see. Because I'm positive you can't come up with anything.Sadly, GoW III is just GoW HD.
Nothing is fresh. The gameplay hasn't evolved.

Off the top of my head here an idea for online is that you get to cuztimaze yourself in online (like your own soldier) and u get into large scaled battles with one team versus another...............but like 20 people in each team kinds thing 9sorta like fat prncess and its sorta like a push? the more your team wins and progress throught the map the more territory you win? Seems like a cool idea maybe demons VS demons or you can CHOOSE your warrior and cuztimaze his abilitys and appereance (same thing with demons like add wings, claws, body shape etc.)

Sure you can. You can still change things up without messing up the identity of the series. Uncharted 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 are great examples. They significantly improved on every aspect of their game without compromising the games' original identity.
What would I like to see?
- More weapons. After 3 God of War games, surely they can come up with more unique interesting weapons. Reusing old weapons is fine, but give us more choices please. I'm bored with the same old weapons.
- Make the game less linear. Create branching paths and multiple strategies to reach the end/goal...each path has their own pros/cons and challenges. Right now, there is only 1 way to go from point A to point B.
Stuff like that...I want them to ADVANCE the series and not be satisfied with giving us more of the same thing.
Online in GOW series? No. Just NO!rogerjakThats what I said about Uncharted but hey its actaully pretty darn good

I agree with the Nero comment...DMC4 SPOILERS!!!!! But it definitely was a letdown for Nero to look so similar to Dante, only for them to not even explain Nero's origins or if he even has any type of relation to Dante. The story really shed no light as to who Nero really is and what's his purpose in the DMC universe.I have an idea of online game for GOW 3 and i think its a god one, imagine 51 players per server,1 kratos and others skeletons.1 player kontrols kratos and other 50 kontrols the skelletons kratos with all the powers against 50 skelletons a death match :) of course it probably would be frustrating if you want to play as cratos :D so what do you think? i think it would be awsome, o and no respawn :D

hey if the game is not broken why fix it :D i think its just fine,of course the idea of alternative path to make to point b is good
About online, I don't think a competitive online multiplayer for a simple hack and slash game will work very well. What are you going to do? See who can mash buttons the fastest? :)
I personally think they don't need online. But, if you guys insist, it should be 2-4 player coop.
I don't fully agree with you, but I know what you're saying.
First of all, Devil May Cry 4 was a whole new gam, so I don't agree it was just a graphical improvement.

Also, God of War 3 should NOT have online. It would be stupid. There is absolutely nothing they could do with the online unless they make one player Kratos and the others have to team up and kill him before he turns them into his minions, kind of like Zombie mode.
