I'm getting a PS3 next month on UK launch and just wondered of you can buy a Wi-fi USB connector that plugs into the USB slot on the PC like the one you can get to connect the DS/Wii to the internet? Or do I need a wireless router?

While wifi is nice, if you can use ethernet instead, do so.

A direct connection will always be more reliable. However, if you signal strength is high enough you shouldnt really have problems with online messing up. Possibly lag.

Lag doesnt have to be because of your connection. It can also be from the people you play against. Its when one connection is better so one looks like they're in one spot and then almost teleport to another spot. I'm just now getting into FPSs online, so if any of my statement is incorrect please step in and correct me.
