I'm thinking of getting a PS3 pretty soon, but I really want to get one off of Ebay because there are some pretty good prices for them...even though I've bought off of Ebay before, I still feel a little scared to purchase such an expensive thing over the internet. Has anyone bought their PS3 off of Ebay and if you did, can you give me some words of comfort that will actually persuade me to do it? Thanks.

I've found some where I can get a 60gb for around $600 (shipping included) so basically I'd be probably saving on tax in stores... In the end paying just a few extra dollars in taxes could be well worth what could be wrong with the system on ebay, i just bought a h500 bluetooth and feel ripped off did not even come in package everything was in like baggies, and just feels cheap like its a counterfiet but i got a good deal for it. Well my friend bought it off eBay and came to him safe and sound.
If you look at it other way, if you buy it from the store, someone who saw you buying it might think about robbing you. which would mean goodbye PS3 plus injuries. Less chance of happening but bigger damage.
Lol to the post about someone robbing you if you buy it in a store. I bought mine in the mall and man I was quick to go put that sucker in the car, cover the PS3 with a blanket, and lock the doors. My bro was with me so he was helping blocking ppl from seeing it, and he said he saw a few guys look at us, but we made it to the car and back home after seeing 300 (awesome movie that deserves blu-ray treatment).
