Ok i just got the Ps3 today for christmas and i have a bit of quetions dat i need to ask:

1. as i finsished the initial set up and a all that i noticed that the system was getting hot. is this normal behaviour for it?

2. when i tried to play a game the video came out fine but my audio is not working. i no i plugged it into the right slot but it still wont give me any sound wat do i do?

1. Dude u can have ps3 on for weeks, or months it still wont break, Just keep it out of cramped up spaces.

2. do u own a hdtv. What cables are u using?

well first i would try turning your ps3 off then hold the power button for about 10secounds(u should hear a beep twice) Then tellme if it worked

well did it work? Is there sound if not then go to settings click audio settings and make sure its on composite. Or if then that doesnt work make sure u have the cable connectors on the right spot

figured it out the AV cable they gave me was faulty. So im using ps2 cable instead lol and it works better now.

You plugged it in wrong. if not you'll need to change the settings on the XMB.
