After watching this hilarious forum arguement, I conclude GoWII is awesome regardless of what resolution, tv, or scan type or whatever you play it on.  It is awesome and that is that.  If you don't like the washed out look you get from and the 1080p, then don't leave it like that, and likewise if you hate the 480p.  Just play the game and shut it.
