I was talking to my friend and he said that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is not the full game, just the first or small part to it. He says that the full game is due in 2009, is that true?

Is it worth picking up GT5: Pro even though it isn't the final game?

I've been waiting for a really kick ass racing game and I think waiting for another year is gonna suck. EA killed Need For Speed when they made it street cars on official tracks...

It's a big demo that costs almost as much as what the full game should cost when it gets released. IMO, it should cost no more than $15.

It all depends on how much you need your gran turismo. And if you feel like paying for it again once the full game comes out. However i can recommend the game Grid. It comes out around June i think. It's another racer from the guys behind the DiRT series. They just put up a new video on this site today. Check it out.

Prologue should ease the cravings a bit until the full game does come out. With 60 cars, 6 fully rendered tracks, drift racing, 2 player splitscreen racing and online multiplayer it is just as full featured as complete games.

It's incomplete but better than any racing available yet. It has over 70 cars which is more than what most offer, and it's very realistic with online play, that's why I'm going to buy it =]

GT5: Prologue is a prologue funnily enough. Its just a taster of the final game. Id say its worth the price, ive had loads of fun with it so far and there are updates to come that will add more multiplayer features etc. so its more than enough to last you until the final game is released.
