Greatest Character of All Time (So Far)

Well, ready for some debating. I want to know your guys opinion on who is the most fleshed out, coolest, and most entertaining character in videogame history. From the old school 80's to the 2009.

I vote for either Andrew Ryan (Bioshock), for being such a three dimensional, character and I felt bad for his dream failing and him being a fallen hero. Nathan Drake for acting like an actual person, I felt like he acted like a regular guy, instead of a silent killer. And, call me crazy, Freeman from Half-Life cause even though he never said anything, I still felt like I was him. My personality was him, instead of him already having one

1. James Sunderland, I've never felt more pity and anger towards a Video game character then after I played Silent Hill 2Treflis

Wow, that's a good one. James was definately an intriguing character who was supported by an awesomely twisted story. I actually didn't realise how deep his characterisation went until I read a plot analysis for SH2.

But for best game character of all time? I'll have to predictably vote for Snake. He's like the anti-Bond. He's a total ladies man, but he doesn't wanna sleep with any of them. Too cool.
