GTA 4 vs MGS4

Metal Gear is by far the better game, i lost interest in GTAIV before the halfway mark.

Omg.... to put it simply they cant b compared. Personally i think MGS4 deserves it coz GTA4 didnt really liv up 2 the hype... but i dont even hav MGS4 coz i havent played the previous games but hey.... GTA4 is "good". Blaiyze1

I'm actually replaying the game (kinda on and off due to boredom) and i can name algonquin (comething like that), and hapiness island, ummm thats basically all i know. The story seems compelling but its really shallow and has some "twists" which are nothing compared to kojima's stuff!

GTAIV doesnt deserve a 10/10, since I havent even played it and yet Im bored of it.

MGS4 deserves a 10/10. Ill never get bored, and Ive beaten it 3 times.

Got to be GTA4 theres way more to do, the physics are better the shooting is more fun fire effects are way better, you can drive a shedload of cool vehicles and the charactors are better. GTA4 > MGS4fhoeiuwhdousah

Sorry bud, but there is no need for this kind of berating. Obviously, you have strong feelings for MGS4, but remember those feelings are only your opinions. Fhoeiuwhdousah has his own opinions. Anything relating to a video game, or a work of art for that matter, is purely subjective and everybody has their own opinion. Point of this is: please, respect everyones right to have their own opinion.

MGS4 is a better game because of the story and gta does get boring after a while.

listen m8 i have no storng feelings for a game (LOLZ) i would do the same thing if he compared GTA4 to any other game better than it and say nonsense stuff that in his mind make gta being better than the one better.. fanboys annoy me.. just that.. and ill repeat, yes i loved to play mgs4, but when someone uses exactly the STRONG POINTS of mgs4 to tell that GTA beats it in those topics.. is absolutely insane and you must agree... its just a fanboy nonsense but ok.. and the proof that i just wasnt "defending mgs4 because of my strong feelings about it" was because after what i said (caused by some fanboy madness.. tried to put some sense in those minds) i was able to say this :"Well after all that i'd answer to the topic, MGS4 > GTA4". i dont wanna repeat this again.. xP (and i didnt desrespect anyone.. ;)). best compliments!

I prefer GTA just because i like to kill, at MGS4 i don't think you kill so much, and because of that i don't really like it.

well both of the games has its own advantage, both are really good, MGS4 has an awesome cutscene and beautiful cinematic graphics,awesome storylines, i followed the MGS series since PS1 so im addicted to it...and i gotta see solid snake final mission.. GTA4 are awesome too, GTA4 is like a combination of racing/ and all these small games you can play like bowlings, pool etc in the game, andits also more interactive. like you are in the game in your own world where you can cruising around in the city etc.

but GTA4 has the exact same gameplay, from the previous series,...In MGS4 ppl more curious about how the story end about Solid snake..and his final missions. but Both games are awesome and fun to play.

I only have MGS4, but I can say it's AWESOME.

EDIT: Eh... Might as well put my thoughts based on what I know.

MGS4: It's a tactical 3rd-person shooter, in which there's a lot of action, and a great storyline. (too great that it actually confused people. xD) As I said, there's quite a lot of action, and also some amount of sneaking (depending on your play style). Practically 80% of the time you're either shooting or sneaking.

GTAIV: Now, I don't know much about this game, except from a friend, but I'll try my best. GTAIV is a sandbox game, obviously a "do-anything-you-want" game. It's somewhat a 3rd-person shooter in which you engage in the underground life, but you can also do a many number of things that are realistic and off-game. Go bowling, clubs, diner, etc. Then there's also the storyline. Although I don't know much about it, the storylines pretty good in GTAIV (at least I think it does).

Besides having great storylines, GTAIV and MGS4 are 2 different games. Perhaps not completely, but they are different enought to be distinct from each other. It all comes down to your personal preference.

As I have said, I believe that MGS4 is an awesome game. I'm pretty sure you would think also too.

I think MGS4 is by far the better game. I've already logged well over 50 hours, where I've probably only played 20-30 in GTAIV even though I've had it since Day 1. The single player campaign in GTAIV lost my interest after awhile. I continued to play online while the hype was still alive, but then I just went back to playing COD4 all the time.

Other than that, MGS4 is just such a solid game in every aspect. It really deserved its 10.

GRAND THEFT AUTO IV;

GAMEPLAY = 70% GRAPHICS = 60%

AFTER GAME COMPLETION = OTHER THINGS TO DO BUT EVENTUALLY BORE YOU.

ONLINE = 80% BORING AFTER 10+ DEATHMATCHES

METAL GEAR SOLID 4;

GAMEPLAY = 95% GRAPHICS = 97%

CUT SCENES ARE INTRESTING, LONG ASWELL.

NOT PREDICTIBLE STORY LINE,

AFTER GAME COMPLETION; NEW ITEMS UNLOCKED WHICH CAN BE USED IN A NEW STORY MODE.

ONLINE = 65% - NOT MUCH AREAS FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN, JUS LIKE ANY OLD ONLINE DEATHMATCH.

gta iv = 8/10

mgs4 = 9.7/10

jus my opinion dont take it to heart.
