No GTA for another couple of years? I guess thats fine, I think R* is trying to make an incredible product, GTA4 was good, but I believe that R* can make the experience even better and possibly even shortening the loading that GTA4 had.

I was thinking the same emitsu97. I had never heard a projected date before. Plus, isn't 2012 about right anyway? Red Dead Redemption just came out and they're still working on DLC. GTA 5 is probably still in its first half of development. And this is GTA we're talking about. We all know it will be bigger and better than anything before it. For a second I laughed at the topic because I quickly assumed you meant Gran Turismo 5 would be delayed until 2012.

The game wasn't even announced, meaning technically it cant be delayed. Whenever they announce it and give it a time frame for release, that is the original date.
AH GTA 5? I know this is probably a dumb question but was location revealed at least? Probably not right? And I also hope they make it a pretty interesting story. How cool would it be if there was better customization. And to be honest I hated the GTA IV multiplayer, I hope they improve that as well.
i cant wait for it to come out but i will live without it. It was better to tell us now then in a few months after the start anoucing things and i get even more excited

wow 48 not mad against 18 mad? :P I just hope GTA5 feel like GTA again, GTA4 really felt like The Getaway, idk but it was the feeling i got the entire game. IMO the GTA series always delivered a better game after the other GTASA>GTAVC>GTAIII>GTA2>GTA till 4 imo, i think SA was better and more fun. Because they took away that "goofiness" the fun factor also got a cut on GTA4 imo, so theres my request, get the fun back, i wanna sky dive, pick girls in the park (one of the SA gf was doing yoga in a park :P) compete in triathlons, sail around looking for oysters, spend countless time in the middle of no where looking for big foot, God there was just sooooooo much. And IMO SA>4 story-wise, because it was brothers and sister, really close family, much more characters so much more to do, i remember the 1st time i arrive in San Fierro after all the time in the small town and drive around in the country area, it felt a million miles away from Los Santos the map in GTA SA really is a character on its own, imo driving around GTA4 is just not as fun. Sure the graphics are great (better than i thought they would be) physics, shoot outs, they are all in a quality that no one was used to on a GTA game, but for me, the fact that its just 1 city (oppose to 3 in SA) and couple with the lack of goofy-fun stuff makes the overall experience lesser compared to SA. Take your time R* and gimme the game i love back.
I didn't know GTA5 had a release date in the first place. I'm disappointed we have to wait until 2012, since that is the end of the world, but hey...at least GT5 is out in 2 months. I kid, I kid...but seriously, I wish we could see a new GTA sooner. They were heading in the right direction with what the fans want with LAD and TBOGT. Loved base jumping.

It honestly show how life was in the hood to the riches... The game was awesome.. I remember walking in a suit with cornrolls like if I was a celebrity and I remember when the mission when Sweet didn't wanna go to the rich and famous.. He wanted to stay in the hood.. It was soo much to that game it wasnt even funny.. It felt like 007 sometimes when I would fly the airplane on my mission and just jump out and pull out my parachute.. It even took so long to fall from the sky and I enjoyed it :P GTA: SA was so awesome... no GTA is touching that...None of them.. f
I actually thought gta iv was the best in its series and san andreas was the worst. SA felt more of a saints row game if anything, it was just a flat out terrible game. id totally regret buying it for full price, i thought the game is highly unrealistic and it ruined the experience for me as a gamer, i mean riding around in jet packs from town to town lol, come on now.
hopefully the next gta 5 is very similar to gta iv with a little less glitches, and more interactions.

you dont have to use the jetpack ;) its not even that good to use to travel. just adds an optional thing to do for fun.

Well for starters I've heard the game isn't going to have the "gangsta" storyline it once had.
