I dunno about the PC version but the PS3 version runs really smooth and the graphics have been improved since GTA IV :)

Btw, shouldn't you be posting this in the 'General Games' forum as you are talking about two platforms and not just the PS3? ;)

If you have a PC that runs GTA IV smooth enough I'd recommend getting it for PC as you get the "user" mp3 radio capability, a chance for better graphics and the chance to edit video clips. Unless they removed all that since GTA IV.

Which ever platform you prefer playing your games on. Both versions will be similar.

Well can your (gaming?)PC run it? Is your PC hooked up to a monitor at a desk, or can you play it on your coach and on a bigscreen TV?

It really depends. GTAIV did have some problems running on everyone's machines (look at all the negative "user reviews" on Amazon and the like).Obviously if your PC can DEFINITELY run the game at max settings, and your PC is hooked up to the same display as your PS3, then the PC version wins hands down. If there is doubt whether you can run it, or your PC is hooked up to a 17" monitor, well then... it's up to you.

I've been using my HDTV as my computer monitor and game system screen since last October and I strongly recommend it to anyone that can.. I then use my wired Xbox 360 controller to play quite a few PC games - or I can plug it into the 360 when I don't have batteries for my wireless one. You don't have to have max settings to have an enjoyable PC gaming experience, either. The settings that seem to make the most impact on GTA IV are shadows, draw distance and also AA. If you set other settings higher and have those 3 things lower the game can look really good but play a lot smoother.

TC - if you haven't - you should ask this same question in the PC game forum, as the thought was you'd get biased opinions in the PS3 forum, but surprisingly they all seem to be similar to how I felt.
