gta4 early release rumours are indeed true!!!!

A short while ago i was sent an e-mail from play.com where i had placed my gta4 pre oder,it said.

Your oder is now in the process of being packed then dispatched for delivery on 25.04..after this i then went onto my online banking account and indeed they have taken 39.99 from my account:)

Unfortunately due to security reasons i can't provide proof of this but trust me please this is legit!

EDIT: Just show us the e-mail and cover anything personal with paint or photoshop something.

Well, he properly doesnt want to show a "receipt" where his name, address, credit card info and so on are listed, thats what he means :)

my name,address and last 4 digits of my credit card for one!

You can choose to belive me,or think im just **** up to you...but tomorrow morning when everyone who has pre odered recives it in the post ..everyone will know im not lying...why would i:/

I think this means they're sending it out on the 25th, it doesn't necessarily mean it will arrive at your house on the 25th.

Then again maybe it does? That would make you one lucky ********!

Play has a pritty good policy where they send it the night before to get to you on release date,i use play.com all the time.

Trust me it's comming tomorrow:)

My congrats 2 u. If i was aware that the UK was selling it early, I would have gotten one myself.

I'm gonna phone GAME about my pre-order tommorow, and if they say that it is being released early and I can go in and pick it up, lets just say that I might be feeling a little poorly tommorow... ;)Flam3Thr0w3r

I don't think retailers will let the game go this early. I personally believe that the copies people are playing are pirated.

In the city i live in its a "tradition" that if one store breaks release date, all stores does... But it's never the major stores that start, it's always some odd store that has no idea what gaming is about and why they are selling that game or whatever... So hoping that happens soon :D

Did you pay for overnight shipping or something? B/c I really doubt you're getting it in less than 24 hours from your shipping notification, not to mention Take2 hasn't authorized any retailer to ship it early...

And an update!

I went into GAME and asked them and they said, " No, we are still releasing it on the 29th. "

I also tried Tesco and the guy told me, " We actually did have it up for sale a couple of days ago for a little bit but we were told to take it off the shelves and wait till the 29th. "

is this shocking cause HMV sent mine yesterday by special delivery on royal mail. so i might have it tommorow or monday

well ive had my copy of gta4 since friday night.. i work in a mall and the manager of the eb games gave it to me and my co-worker early...if u dont belive me u can e-mail me and ill send you pics....its all legit.. i even played it online but there were only like 3 other ppl online. just fyi its the ps3 version... njzfinest101
