Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to do something out of the ordinary, break the routine and live dangerously? Well... today was one of those days for me. It started when something on Game's window caught my eye, PSP Slim & Two Games 139.99.
Now the PSP never really interested me in the past, I always thought of it as a somewhat mediocre handheld with a minority of games...anyhow, my partner and I wandered around some more and I popped into Gamestation, just to see what's new and I walk past the PSP section and notice the prices... and Lord were they more expensive than Game and then a game caught the corner of my eye... it was none other than Final Fantasy I...
My mouth dropped, my eyes couldn't believe it... Final Fantasy 1 and... as an icing on the cake, Final Fantasy II laid there as well...The spending bug had definetely got to me, but in my defense, I blame my partner Sara on the entire thing. Just the day before, I bought myself Grand Theft Auto on the 360 and was comfortably playing it, but then my partner in her infinite wisdom said...
"Caitlyn, come shopping with me darling"
"Can't... I'm destroying Liberty City and taking a bunch of snot nosed little brats to hell and back on free play" was my reply.
"But sweetie, I need help choosing some new clothes for that dinner party we're going to next week"
"What dinner party?" was my somewhat distracted reply.
"The Erikson's are hosting one and we've been invited."
"Tell them I said hi."
"What part of we've been invited did you miss?"
"That part that involves me, because me is going to be very busy."
"Sweetie, it's just a game."
"This is Grand Theft Auto...the game of all games...well one of the games of all games."
"Darling, we're going shopping."
"Fine! Fine fine fine!... only waited ages to get the game...but fine, we'll go shopping!"
So we went shopping and upon seeing the deal in Game and Final Fantasy in Gamestation, my mind was made up. I went to te ATM and unfortunately there was another woman there taking out some cash, so in true Grand Theft Auto style, I walked up to her, bat in hand and beat the crap out of her... Okay, I basically stood behind her and waited my turn geesh.
So I drew out 200 pounds and we went to Game, where I purchased the black Slim PSP for 140 pounds and it came with Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories and Vice City...I also purchased the two year extended warranty for 20 pounds... and the memory card for it, that cost 15 pounds.
I left the store... ran to the ATM again to draw out more money and bought myself Final Fantasy I & II at Gamestation, both were 20 pounds each... I also ended up buying ear phones so I could play it at night when Sara was asleep.
So overall... I spent 215 pounds on the PSP so far and I'm absolutely delighted with it...
