Happy with your PS3?

I love my PS3. I didn't have one for a while cause I just had my Wii and 360, but when I finally went out and bought one around a year ago, I barely touch the other consoles unless they're exclusive titles. The only thing I wish is that the backwards compatibility was more consistent... I have the 80 gig model that only has "two usb ports" and not "four usb ports", so mine's not backwards compatible. How stupid is that? Just sayin'.

as a gaming device, PS3 delivers everything i had hoped and more. there are minor flaws but overall i'm very happy with the system.

That's the problem I have with the ps3. It has just as good a selection of games as any other platform but the ps3 version usually gets the worst support. Oftentimes it seems that the ps3 is an afterthought; especially when it comes to anything made by Bethesda.

I just mentioned this on another thread but when they were hyping the ps3 for launch, they were talking about all sorts of cool things we were going to see like full HD, extra content crammed onto the huge BR discs, and connected psp features but all that seems to be extremely rare. I'm at the point where I'm amazed when the devs added something simple like custom soundtracks.

So far, yes. I'm happy with the games I have.

Although I would like to get more RPG games.

Overall I have to say I am happy with my PS3 and the current selection of games.

My two favorite genre are Racers and Fighters. Thankfully the PS3 library delivers on both.

As far as exclusives go, I have taken advantage of Gran Turismo 5, bothMotorstorm games, Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4

The only thingI am unhappy about is the amount of time it takes to download and install system updates OR game updates. I know that the 360 updates install much much faster.

I love the PS3. I don't think I have ever played a console as much as my PS3.

I'm satisfied with the game line up but less so with the system itself. My biggest qualm with it would be that I paid the $300 for the 40gb one a couple months before the brand new on with much more memory + features etc. came out. I felt (and still feel) incredibly cheated. I do like how the controllers don't need batteries, though. But, like the 360, cross-game chat + party chat would be a welcome feature.

Yeah I love my PS3. It's been a great system. It's actually my favorite console I've ever owned. And with Playstation Plus I have more games to play than I can keep up with. I'm looking to get Killzone 3, but feel bad buying it when I still want Little Big Planet2

Games wise yeah, can't complain. System wise... leaves much to be desired. I also got my system early on when the price was high and little was offered. Oh, how the times have changed.

It's my fav. system this gen, it could need a bit more JRPGs, but I'm happy with the selection. Only thing that bugs me is how Sony is acting ATM, I just have the feeling that they stopped to improve the OS / Network (which is important IMO, I still think it has a lack of quality in some aspects, let's take the browser as example) and focuss totally on fightig hackers ... I don't get it, hackers are everywhere and the more you want to attack them the more they try to destroy you, why doesn't Sony understand that? :S
