I'm planning on getting a new hard drive for my ps3, and I need to know, is 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm better. I've heard from some people that 7200 rpm can cause your PS3 to overheat. Is this true? Can someone please help me?

it is true that 7200 can overheat.. go with 5400 rpm.. theres not much of a speed difference and its a bit cheaper too i think!!

from what iv read in review test ect the heat def is minor, but then again so is the performnce boast. Id say just stick with the 5400 rpm unless your going to be constantly uninstalling and reinstalling games ect...wich would kind of be the whole point of installing a new HDD to elimanate the need to have to delete and reinstall games lol. just get your self a western digitel 5400rpm 320gig or 500gig HDD. You'll be very happy.
