has zipper ruined socom 4

i know its not out but im doing some research on it and it appears it will suck ass eggs, i played 1 and 2 on the ps2 with what appears to be the only 2 socoms .

does any one else think it will suck

i know but you dont have to play something if they have changed the core game mechanics which it appears they have .

I dont think it will suck at the moment it will really depend on the MP. Singleplayer never made this game its always been about the online. Confrontation was not all that bad if it would have been as advertised at release and a few other tweeks here and there. No one will admit this but the same people that are complaining now complained about socom 2 when it came out but now socom 2 is just not as bad as it once seemed since all other socom releases. Its still the Best socom and Sony and Zipper could easily make millions just remaking an HD version, they would just need to work out the servers.

I was a huge fan of SOCOM for PS2, but I think the last one on PS3 was horrible (even after updates). Even so, the series has a large fan base and its likely they will cater towards their community. That being said, I'm betting if you didn't like SOCOM Confrontation, you won't like SOCOM 4....but the game isn't out yet so who knows....Ninja_Zombie83

SOCOM Confrontation wasn't even made by Zipper. There is literally no relation between that game and SOCOM 4. Confrontation doesn't even have a campaign.

Then again, Zipper's only PS3 game(MAG)is merely "average", and that game doesn't have a campaign either. I know they aren't the same style exactly, but SOCOM 4 already looks miles better than MAG at least. Admittedly I've never been a huge SOCOM fan anyway, so I guess I don't really care if it's true to the original SOCOM "mechanics". I just want it to be a good PS3 game.

here we go with this again. first of all, there has been 9 socom games, not 2 and second, don't listen to anyone but yourself when it comes to the games you buy. if you don't want to buy socom 4 then you can always rent it but atleast play it before you start judging it

This game is not out yet so until it is out and the reviews are in. Socom 4 is not yet ruined. However given that most big name game releases that have been released have disapointed long time fans. Socom 4 is not going to please everyone. But it is to early to say that it is Ruined.

But you could be correct the Socom 4 wil end up Sucking when it is released. I hope not but we will soon see.

This guy is completely right.... Trust him, I used to actually take the advice people gave me on the internet, but who knows if they are anything alike to you. Just give it a rent or try it it before buying it.
