Let me start out by saying that I have absolutely loved playing ps2 for five years, but after I got my PS3 and played Resistance I just feel like I can't go back to a whole bunch of PS2 games I was playing and want to finish like Okami and DMC3SE. Now my PS2 library is like 60 games too, but ever since buying my ps3 I haven't seriously played a ps2 game, but backwards capability was a huge selling point for me especially while the ps3 games are slow to come out. I even use a SDTV for now and ps2 just doesn't feel the same. I know I will probably get back to my ps2 games over the summer while I'm waiting for Lair, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, and all the other games due out later this year, but then again I don't get the full time to appreciate PS3 goodness while I'm here @ school and I have alot of Oblivion to play. Add to that my brother just bought a wii with like 6 games and we were going to catch up on some of the GC games we missed out on. Has anyone else had the experience of never looking back to their PS2 games?
No, there's still incentive to go back to PS2 games. There are a lot of hidden gems in it's library, plus why would you let the backwards compatibility go to waste?
for the most part yes. but I still find myself TRYING to enjoy my old PS2 games but it doesn't last long because I've already played those and i need somthing new.
I could care less for last-gen games on a "Next-gen" system. I wish Sony would take that right out IF it ment lowering the price as I play my PS2 games on my PS2. My PS3 will never see a PS2 game as long as I own it.
