i always take good care of my disc's... and now you guys tell me i don't have to? wuuh!
*jumps around on the Roof throwing BD disc's everywhere*

But nah. i haven't tried to scrats them just to find out. and drop a disc doesn't really do anything on a carpet :S it's not like my carpet is made out of knifes. i think i have ONE game, that maybe has a serious scrats. but.. it's a PS1 game., so im not worried.
No scratch marks yet. Although I have been very careful when handling the disc, not because is a blu-ray disc but a force of habit. :P
Not sure if it's the coating or the disk but take a PS3 disk and a PS2 (or any other systems) disk and look at them, the other disk is kind of relfective but the PS3 is literally like a mirror, it's crazy... Sony must have been like, "but what if you want to check your hair before you play...", then " yeah, well we could make the disks double as mirrors", finally, "making disks double as mirrors... BRILLIANT!".
But no, not sure you can scratch them deep enough to mess anything up without really trying.
My RFOM disc already has a few scratches on them. Sony, you lie, I thought you said BR Discs were unscratcheable.T-ZoneDid you attack it with a machete? But seriously, since the games are written so compact, that even a small scratch could render your disc unusable, thus enter scratch resistant layer.

No, I just left it outta the case on either a chair, table, or TV. Face up, most of the time.

If it gets scratched in the wrong place then it could screw up your whole disc!
If diamonds can get scratches, I'm pretty sure just about anything in the world can be scratched. So don't be rubbing things on it lol.Â
Anyway, none of my Blu-Ray disc games are scratched. It does look like it is scratched though thanks to my finger prints.

(pun intended) :) seriously if your gonna test its endurance do it with Gundam or something!
LOL this reminds me of a funny story
me and my friend were playing NHL2K7 and we were about to take it back when i remembered about this coating
so i wanted to perfrom tests on this 'rental disk' so i got a nail and exacto knife and scratched away we did
put it in the PS3 and i kid you not IT STILL READ IT AND PLAYED PERFECTLY!
**not endorsed by myself or sony try at own risk**
I tried to scratch some of my discs but couldn't. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough.dvdcsnUse a compass or a stanley knife. That usually works for me...
