Have you ever had a game crash to the PS3 dashboard ?

Usually for me, wen a game crashes it locks up/ feezes the console. Well yesterday I was playing Fallout 3 GOTY (was on the 1st dlc) and the game just crashed to the dashboard whitout freezing the console or anything.

I find this very strange. I've had like 3 PS3s so far and this has never happend to me. It almost looked as the system stoped reading the disck (like wen you press the eject buttond while you playing). I guess it could be a bluray player issue.

What do you guys think ?

interesting, ive never heard of that kind of crash...just the kind that warrants a hard restart.

I had this happen to me last night when i was playing mortal kombat's challenge tower, during the middle of a fight the screen went black and the game crashed i guess then playstation dashboard loaded up.

It's happened to me a couple times. I think it was as like everyone mentioned Fallout 3 that did it.

Two games have done this with me, Rainbow Six Vegas and Bioshock 2. Its really annoying!cooldust

I have the disc-based format of Undead Nightmare, but I've only gotten crashes that forced me to reset. Any and all forms of crashing/freezing are annoying nonetheless.

New Vegas did that to me a couple of times, but that's the only game I've had do that out of my entire collection.jnjreams76

I've only had this happen to me on Fallout New Vegas.

That was the last thing to surprise me with that game. Such a mess.

Happens to me every once in awhile with Rock Band 3

Yeah, happens when just the game crashes but the OS realises it. The full freeze is when the OS crashes as well
