HdMi truble!!!

OK , IM PRETTY CONFUSED , I JUST GOT MY HDMI CABLE OF EBAY(15) I HOOKED IT UP PS3-HDMI-TO SONY BRAVIA HDMI.AFTER ADJUSTING ALL THE SETTINGS.THE VIDEO QUALITY LOOKS GREAT FULL 1080 BUT AUDIO SEEMS TO HAVE SOME STATIC......IS IT THE HDMI CABLE THATS MAKING THIS SOUND OR WHAT COULD IT BE .???PLEASE HELP

Ebay is not exactly a reputable source for... anything unless the seller has a relatively spotless record. But for HDMI cables, I would've just gone to monoprice instead, since the cables offered there are cheap and proven to be decent in reviews by Engadget.

try to go to sound settings and switch it to component cable, and plug the component cable into your speakers the red and white ones I believe, see if there is any difference... I use that because I have a monitor and have to use HDMI to DVI which cuts off the sound in HDMI...fruitkings

Bingo. Things like this, it's hard for us, who aren't there, to tell what's going on or who's the culprit here. But, as this poster said, try differnt cables. If composite cables look better (and they shouldn't), it's the HDMI cable. If they look the same, well we're back at square one (well at least, we don't know if it's the PS3 or the TV)

edit: when I said "composite" let's just pretend I said "component". It'll be our little secret
