Heavenly Sword Demo was awesome

Although it was short, it gave us a good sample on the final product. The visuals were amazing and the combat was incredible. It looks like it would sell a lot.

Downloaded it, played it, chug-tastic framerate, button-mashing combos that have no real awesome effects or anything...this game sorely disappointed me as a new PS3 owner.TheSystemLord1

What part of demo don't you get? It will be fixed in the final product. Also, there are many button mashing games out here that people commit to calling classics.

Making a gameplay conclusion off of a demo is 100% acceptable. The framerate better be fixed, and can be fixed I'm sure, but the gameplay itself? Its dull man...very dull...just wave after wave of look-alike enemies with lame combos. Truth be told, this is a game I was 50/50 on anyway, this one and Lair...might have to see if there is a playable demo of it anywhere on PSN to be sure. TBH none of these games coming this fall excite me really, Uncharted, Lair, or Heavenly Sword. I'm much more into Ratchet, Folklore, Warhawk, Sigma, and Resistance. That should tide me over until next year when it will get really good.

I did not have any problems with the framerate so I cannot relate to that complaint. While I have no problem with folks finding any game dull, complaining that enemies look alike is nothing short of being an ABSOLUTELY stupid comment. What game does not have enemies that look alike?:|

Kotakuconfirmed that these problems were fixed in the E3 build. As for the combat, it's about as awesome as it gets in the action genre... definitely deeper than the games it's been compared too. But given the list of games you're looking forward to... you don't really seem big on the action genre anyway. That's cool, you just have different tastes.

For those of you that do like action games, you'll love this one.

The HS demo amazed me. It always looked great when I saw it on the internet or downloaded footage, but to able to play it myself all I can say is wow. I can't wait to see the finished product. It looks like a must own to me.guyhunter

Exactly, and the finished product will be exponentially better than any demo. Look at past history, the motorstorm retail game looked 10 times better than the demo, same for resistance demo and ninja gaiden blu-ray disc retail version looked 10 times better than the demo. So expect Heavenly Sword to be nothing short of absolutely gorgeous and stunning when its finally released. And for people complaining about the gameplay, please, obviously the basic moves you start out with will be expanded upon greatly later in the game, and while you may be able to beat the first few levels by button mashing, later enemies will require you to learn and unlock new combos. Enjoy the demo for what is is, a taste/appetizer and expect the main course to be fabulous.

I really enjoyed two things--- First, the SIXAXIS support was pretty neat. Then, once I defeated all the guys on top that big pillar, there were two that just layed there on the ground dead. I found out how to pick them up andthrow them off the edge... I was just cracking up, the animation actually looked really good. Overall, I couldn't stand NGS, but this wasn't bad IMO

I thought the demo was good, not great. The visuals were beautiful...but nothing about this game screams "AAA". It'll probably get burried because all of the morons that ran around claiming that this game is going to be godly.

It's good...but not THAT good.

the demo was good there were no problems with frame rate or anything like that but for th 2 and a half hours it took to load i expected a demo longer than 5 min. i played it twice to make sure i didnt miss any ting but no it was just short. P.S. graphics= WOWmez777

I'm not saying you had framerate problems...but alot of people did, and even IGN mentioned them.

Heavenly Sword was indeed awesome. I went in and played the demo with low expectation, but now all i have to say is this gamewas entertaining and fun. although there's no jump but the air battle makes up for it.i have played god of war and ninja gaiden sigma. i actually like heavenly sword more but hopefully the full version is not a let down. so far the gameplay and art style is unique.therearetons of combos in this game which is very suprising.i havea dded it to my wanted list.

good variety of combos .... but i feel you can button smash and make your way throught the game, if course making combos is better, but button smashing is possible

im really hoping they fix those framerate issues. it got pretty bad.

I have no idea why you are complaining about the framerate, it looks perfect to me. I find it really funny why people even complain about a demo when they didn't pay anything for it or even have to leave their chair. If you don't like it then please don't buy it when it comes out and stop complaining to people about problems that aren't even there. I personally love the demo and the attack combos, its much like god of war (which was a perfect game) if the story ends up being good I think it will be one of the PS3's all time greats.

When i played the demo the first time it was short. i mean really short. once i jumped off the piller i did some move where she whips a chain around really fast and i killed every buddy! i was like WTF? i never did it again! but yeah i liked the demo im am going to buy it!
