Heavy Rain - Collector's Edition :D

Hello fellow members, i just wanted to start this topic to talk about Heavy Rain, as i am extremely excited for this game. I just came back from my local EB game's store after pre-ordering the Collector's Edition :D. Has anyone else also done this? and who else will be getting this game... share your thoughts... =]

Im definatly getting this game. The best thing about this game is that its DIFFERENT. Most games just keep comming out with the same stuff but this is amazing.

No trophies though :l

What if theres a war going on out side, wouldnt that ruin the mood too? Theres worse things that could ruin the mood more than trophies :l.

Correction: there are trophies.

They just don't pop up until you finish a scene/chapter.

Yeah that's exactly what i love about this game too, the fact that it is different to any other game out there currently. When this game releases it will blow minds away :D, i can't wait to get my hands on my Collector's Edition, the slip cover with the rain effect sounds sweet.

Really exited for Heavy Rain. I'm not even sure which game I'm anticipated more - The Last Guardian or Heavy Rain.

One thing is for sure, both title will find themselves into my collection.

Could this be the start of a new game genre all together????

And "The last Journey" was awesome too in its moment.

No, you can't start a genre of gaming that already exists.

Point and click adventure has been around for a while now.

And yes, there are trophies. It's mandatory that every game has them.

I haven't preordered yet, but I guess I will soon since I intend to buy the game on day 1. I'm expecting great things from this game, and I have a feeling it won't disappoint.

I actually predict this game to get a 10 on Gamespot... based on what I've seen, I think it has a good shot.

Been following this game for a while now and I must say its all worth the wait and finally Feb is right around the corner ^_^ Q1 2010 is going to be full of wins ^_^

actually now that I think about it.. I'm not sure if the CE is worth it at all.. the case isn't even tin.. just a slip cover..? The DLC is available just pre-ordering regular edition.. so all you're really paying is soundtrack and dynamic theme.. just should have that stuff come standard.. do auto upgrade to CE like a lot of other games have.. The game is gotta be awesome tho.. characters and graphics are so realistic and vivid. Plus it's a murder mysteryTIGERLUCK

This is just to anyone who is wondering.... the Collectors Edition's case is not just a fancy slip case that goes over the regular Heavy Rain box, it's actually a fold out digi-pack with exclusive artwork on the packaging and manual. That's what i just read on a Heavy Rain/Playstation board. So i think it was definately worth my money :D.

If my memory serves me right, Dreamfall is a sequel to one of my personal favorite PC games (back when I use to be PC gamer) called - The Longest Journey.

The basic of the game is based of story, adventure, exploration, characterisation. I didn't found Dreamfall to grab me as much as The Longest Journey did but it was a good game nevertheless.

Dreamfall had you controlling 4 different characters to explore various locations, gather and combine items and solve puzzles. These are some of the similarities it shares with Heavy Rain, however the later game is a definitive upgrade in every sense of the way.

I have little doubt Heavy Rain is going to be outstanding experience but if you're interested in Dreamfall it's extremely cheap to buy it, that is if you can find the copy. I still highly recommend to play The Longest Journey as well which in my mind was a much better experience.

Im looking foward to this game heavily.

I love this news! I am very very happy. When I pick up my Darksiders and Bayonetta pre orders on the 5th ill be putting down money for my pre orders on the Heavy Rain Collector's Edition, Dantes Inferno, and Bioshock 2.
