Heavy Rain - Collector's Edition :D

If my memory serves me right, Dreamfall is a sequel to one of my personal favorite PC games (back when I use to be PC gamer) called - The Longest Journey.

The basic of the game is based of story, adventure, exploration, characterisation. I didn't found Dreamfall to grab me as much as The Longest Journey did but it was a good game nevertheless.

Dreamfall had you controlling 4 different characters to explore various locations, gather and combine items and solve puzzles. These are some of the similarities it shares with Heavy Rain, however the later game is a definitive upgrade in every sense of the way.

I have little doubt Heavy Rain is going to be outstanding experience but if you're interested in Dreamfall it's extremely cheap to buy it, that is if you can find the copy. I still highly recommend to play The Longest Journey as well which in my mind was a much better experience.

Day 1 for me also most likely first game I buy in the new year, I dont do collectors editions though, just want to play game.

Even though i'm hyped for this game like everyone else, something tells me HR will not be well received. I really hope im wrong. My purchase remains solely on how good reviews will be.

Keep in mind that this is an adult game, and it's going to be marketed as such.

This isn't God of War or Dante's Inferno, where they cram it with enough violence to attract the kiddies and then put some nudity on the side.

This is an adult game with adult themes that wouldn't appeal to the 12 year old looking for a "badass" to play as, so you can expect the nudity in Heavy Rain to be tasteful and essential to the plot.

Not necessary, no, but later on in Dreamfall, a lot of events take place around Zoe (main character) that really have more of an impact if you played The Longest Journey.

Both games are pretty similar, they just have two different stories. Dreamfall is less of a sequel and more of a spin off that kind of blends itself with The Longest Journey.

I am good with the standard game. I honestly didn't see anything in the collector's edition worth me paying extra for.
