Heavy Rain Review-8.5

So what do ya al think. Me personally was expecting it to be higher. But maybe its because i have been super hyped for this game for 2 years now. But an 8.5 is still really good and cannot wait to get my hands on it! What do you all think? Are you suprised that it got this, or not so suprised?

Not really surprised by the score. I figured it would get an 8.5 here. I'll be getting it for sure. Can't wait to play it.

i liked the demo, just thought the whole r2 to walk thing was kinda dumb..

i think it deserved an 8.5

well they just point out this game has no or few replay value...$70 for 10 hours...bah no.

I'm still gonna buy it but I was expecting this to at least get a 9.0 though, 8.5 is pretty good.

Yeah, but he/she would be willing to spend 70 bucks if it had scored .5 points higher? Reviews are certainly helpful in determining whether to get games, but I think people are missing out on a TON of great games that don't score AAA.

I can understand where they are coming from, but it wouldn't prohibit me from enjoying the experience again and hopefully obtaining a new ending. Heck, that new ending might make me feel things about the character I didn't feel on my first playthrough. And what if my character dies in the first run through, but survives in the second one? I might become even more attached to that character.

I do see their point though. Sometimes the first playthrough of the game is always the more thrilling and engaging experience.

Good review for a AAA game. Don't worry about the score it was done to Bioshock 2 as well ad we know both of these games are AAA deserving.CleanNJerk

heavyrain is an amazing game everyone should preorder or buy dis game day one asap. u will not regret ur purchase becoz this is a very unique groundbreaking game no games can match. heavyrain is worth it go get it

I knew there was no way it was getting a 9 here. Horrid controls and no replay value was a huge flaw right off the bat.

8.5 is good, imo. For the "plot holes", didnt the previews and articles said that there could be plot holes if you killed some character and stuff?... maybe the reviewer just didnt played all the "scenarios".

And I dont get all the "OMG LESS THAN 9.5 IS NO GOOD" stuff...

Bioshock 2 was awesome and got 8.5 too, Borderlands got 8.0 and it was awesome, Uncharted got 8.0, Valkyria Chronicles got 8.5, and so on...

If you are interested in the game just freaking get it and rate it yourself.

Not a bad score from Gamespot.

Its a great score, but I'm still not getting this. akward controls and short time to complete the game really kills the replay value regard of how "different" the scenes will be by every different action you make, I'll get it when it is down to $20.
