I didn't like MGS4 because you had to press so many buttons to beat the game. It's the reason I didn't like Uncharted 2. Why do games require you to press buttons? It's not fair! I'm staying away from Heavy Rain now. I thought we telepathically controlled what happens on the screen.

Just played the demo. Whoa, this game is dripping atmosphere. The score sounds like the movie Se7en, which really adds to the mood. I think 8.5 sounds about right, I dunno. I'd have to play the whole thing first before I could decide.

I see obviously that you didn't get the point. And you are not even close to understand what I meant. In Uncharted 2, you didn't have to press R1 or any other button to solve a puzzle right? or to find a treasure? You actually have to find it or figure out how to solve it. In Heavy Rain you press the R1 button in a crime scene and by the art of magic all the clues appear, oh wowww thats a mindbreaker lol. In MGS4 pressing R1 didn't show in the screen how to beat Mantis or any other boss right? or pressing L2 dint tell U if u should use a pistol or a grenade or to just sneak by enemies right? thank U ...............people geeeeez

@Yokofox33

Dear Yokofox33 I have one question for you; What would you put on a Heavy Rain Strategy Guide? Now you get the point?

Oh come now. I was just having a little fun. I love Uncharted 2. It's one of my favorite games for the PS3.

As for the controls, the way you stated it earlier was funny to me. You said you have to press buttons to beat the game, which is what we do in most of all games. But now that you've explained it better, I can see your point. I'm not actually a big fan of the HR controls. I want to play it for the story and case solving. I think it is kind of lame we have to press R1 to walk, but it's not gonna keep me from enjoying the overall experience.

And if you need a strategy guide to play HR you're doing it wrong. This is the kind of game that shouldn't have a strategy guide. It would just be full of spoilers and pointless advice.

There you go buddy! See, we can get along just fine lol. Yeah i agree totally that this game is a unique story, with some thrill to it and mystery atmosphere that keep most gamers on the edge of the seat. Maybe I am being too demanding, asking for some gameplay that involves more interaction and not too many QTE (Quick Time Events). Gameplay that is not in the script of what is going to happen no matter what. I mention the R1 button because playing with Norman Jayden he uses his shades: the ARI (Artificial Reality Interface) pressing R1 gives him automaticaly all the evidence in a radius where he stands at the time. I would rather prefer no shades and interact more with the crime scene and see for myself if theres a trace of blood or cloth or a fingerprint etc. And L2 is to pop up what the character is thinking at the time so you choose what to execute, so theres actually no interaction really, the character or the player just choose a different path to a story, thats it! And I was frustrated because I waited too long for this game and I expected something else, not just an Indigo Prophecy type of game with the lack of that Next Gen step if you want to call it that way. By the way R2 is to walk and not R1 like you said! Be Cool buddy! peace :)

I just beat the game and I think it deserves a 9.5. The reviewer probably rushed through the game and didn't have time to get attached to the characters.
