I bought ps4 4 days ago. It works just fine. The 2nd day i charged the controller. Now i want to charge it again but the plug charging cable seems that it doesnt fit in the controller. Is there a chance the cable or the controller broke? Help..

The controller is intact same for the cable didnt have any accidents

Sounds like you broke the cable or tried to insert it the wrong way.

Make sure you are plugging it in the right way.

@SolidTy: is there a chance that the socket of the controller broke? I tried to connect the cable to my samsung mobile and it charged it fine. How is it possible to break after charging it just once?...

Now, explain to me, ( assuming that you actually plugged the controller to the cord in the right position ) you used the cable provided with the console to charge the controller to charge your phone ?

If you did, well, that´s the reason, you fucked up the cable socket.

Are you actually using the same cable? I know I got mine mixed up with the PS3 cables, which are different. Took me longer than it should to figure it out.

@raugutcon: Problem solved. There are 2 sockets in the controller, one for headset i think and one for charge cable. I was trying to insert it at the headset socket.

Also i used it to charge my phone for 5 sec to see if the socket was broke or the cable. Seems none is :)

How is it possible?

Easy, just force the cable in the wrong way and you can break two different things:

  1. either the metal end of the cable (warping it) or
  2. damage the actual charging dock on the controller.

All you'd have to do is theoretically push way too hard and insert the cable in the wrong way to break one of those two things.

@nicapoel007: Just get your controller exchanged for a new one, it comes with a 1yr warranty.

I have been through 4 controllers in 11 months, because Sony decided to use a shit micro USB slot, which is flawed. Why couldn't they leave the socket the same as DS3...
