hi , i cant play GTA IV on my 34" CRT TV i even use component cable for connecting the ps3 to my TV :( but it says correct the video output settings , is GTA IV support 480i res??? or its above 720p? i have a NTSC J ps3 and PAL GTA IV plz help :(

It soundsl like a PS3 / TV problem to me. Can you actually see the video feed on your TV? I would suggest turning off your PS3, and then powering on by holding the power button on the console until you hear a series of beeps in short succession (approx 5 seconds). That should reset your video output settings to work best with whatever TV you're using.

Outside of that, I have no clue what the problem could be.

OK!! then just buy a HDTV or sell ur game n buy a new NTSC J GTA IV

and remember GTA IV always proplem ... oooh

Perhaps I missed something as no one else has said this...but could it be because you have an NTSC machine with a PAL game? Have you purchased PAL games before and had it working???

Even though there is no region-lock on games, video output will matter and is something that is unrelated to PS3s since it's just various countries couldn't agree on a standard. Of course, if you had PAL games working, then I guess I am wrong...but if that is true, I'd like to know as I only buy NTSC USA games for my NTSC J machine. No HDMI tv...
