I have notice that upper left of my Slim gets very hot after like half hour. It's were the power supply is located in the inside.

My Slim puts off a lot of heat, I'm sure yours is normal.

getyeryayasout
Yeah i know it's normal for the air that comes off to be hot but my doubt is the upper left side of the system (on the top) being hot. I hope is normal.

I'm planning to buy one tommorow morning so hopefully it's not a normal thing or if it is that it's okay.

Yes it is normal it even says in the manual that it will get hot and that it's not a defect. But I want to know is it normal for a slim to freeze up. Mine did it twice on Uncharted 2 and today I was playing Batman AA and right before a cutscene a bunch of weird color lines came across the top and bottom of the screen then if froze for about 5 seconds then went to the cutscene.

I'm just really worried about those weird colors on the screen. I had a 360 that did that once then I got E74. Turns out it was the GPU.

If I'm not wrong, on a pc usually when color lines come on while playing, the GPU is overheating, I think you need to take breaks, or it could be random freezes.

Something in VERY WRONG! My 160 gb slim puts off no heat, in fact it makes quite a breeze :) I suggest you send it in for repairs before it red rings :o

Well, my ps3 was on for a few hours tonight. I played a few games and just let it run while doing other stuff. It didn't get alarmingly hot but of course had some heat emitting from the back. It was not hot to the touch or anything like that.

I think these developers are way off for making these units smaller. When they made the PS2 smaller it had more freeze issues. "over heating"...Its not like we dont have a large enough house for a console. Why keep redoing them smaller??? I dont get it?

I would rather it be the size and weight of my pc if it means its going to run correctly..Im getting a PS3 in Feb, but if I keep reading threads about new problems Im going to have to skip on it.

I have already had a HUGE headache with MS this gen. I dont need more.

Are you for real? LOL, it was at a part right before scarecrow comes out and you get all crazy

Good, you wer right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3DyZll5GwA

That's kind of crappy:evil: It's not even funny, it's makes you think your system is messing up and not in a good way like Eternal Darkness did it

I bet it really freaked out 360 owners:shock:
