Sometimes but not frequently when i press the eject button the disc that is inside my PS3 come out and when i'm going to take it out completely it enter into the console again all by itself. For the last like two and a half months my PS3 have been doing this, this doesn't happens very frequently but is bothering me. Firs i thought this could be a heating problem because where i have my PS3 it doesn't have good ventilation from the right and left side but i'm staring to doubt that.

Have your PS3 done this, if not how can it be repair or what should i do?

Are you sure your letting the disc fully eject? :| Cause it could be your ejecting the disc and as it's coming out, your going to grab for it and accidentally pushing it back in. Other than that, the PS3 has, if you've noticed, tiny black flaps on the opening of the PS3 disc slot which maybe restricting the disc from fully ejecting. And yes you should have better ventilation then that cause if you carry on keeping it in close proximity of anything obstructing the vents it will cause the PS3 to over-heat. Then you will have problems.

The heating won't cause the disc issue, but just like a computer or any other electronic device you do need to give it airflow. Something is causing it to go back in. There isn't anything wrong with your system. Just be careful when you take the disc out that you don't bump it back in. Also, watch it to see if you can find what is not letting the disc out all the way if that is the problem. Do you have a newer or older PS3 (new = 40GB or the new 80GB or 160GB)? The new ones barely produce any heat due to the cell processor die shrink, so your ps3 may be fine just where it is.

i've never had this problem. that's weird how it only does that sometimes when you try to take a disc out. maybe the disc isn't ejecting the way it should when it goes back into the PS3 by itself?

At least now i know that this isn't only happening to me. Thanks dude. Do you think this could be normal after like two hours of use? I was thinking of sending it to Sony but i'm worried that they may send me a use and repaired unite when my Console have only like 6 months and looks like new.

Yeah i'm letting the console to fully eject the disc.

but like i said MAYBE the PS3 isn't ejecting the disc PROPERLY sometimes. that might be why a disc goes back into your PS3 sometimes...

dont do that until you absolutly have to, especially if its out of warranty, as long as you can still get your disc back, and put a new one in whats the problemo?

If it isn't taken out within a certain time, not sure how long though, it will go back in. So maybe you are waiting to long?

No... but you could call their customer support. The number is in your PS3 manual.

Believe it or not i already had a bad time with the Sony consumer service. Before this 80GB PS3 i had a 40GB one and here where i live the light was shouting down frequently because some electrical problems in my area and i think that because of that problem the touch panel of my first PS3 stoped working.

Then Sony sent me a replacement was with scratches an was freezing a lot, so then i decided to bought a brand new one after selling mine.
