Give us an update Chubby, how did things go?
What ticks me off is if I ever have a problem with mine, I have no freaking clue where my receipt is.

You didn't put bologna in it did you? LOL. (some people will remember what I'm talking about)Sephiroth228
That thread was epic.
happened to me with a flawed Spider man Blu-ray, just hold the console on the side, press eject then shake it, it should go out
edit : put it vertical, lift it with your left hand fully grabbing it on the bottom, and grab it with the right hand so that you can use your thumb to press eject ; when the crackling eject sound begins, shake the ps3 with the top a little in direction of the ground
never put the disc that caused it in the PS3 again

Indeed
Thanks TheTenth10, you are the Man! I've been using my ps3 for months without any problems unitl today when I put in a rented copy of the Hulk, it played great but it wouldn't come out. After getting very frustrated, I read this thread, decided not to put in any salami or bolgana in the ps3 and instead put my ps3 vertically, and voila, it popped right out. Turns out that the top of the disk was a bit sticky and that was enough to almost ruin my ps3.
Thanks again everyone and if there's anything I've learned from this is to make sure the bottom and TOP of the disc are perfectly clean before putting them in the player.

Oh god I remember that
Maybe you did this already but how about ejecting it from the XMB, and if that doesn't work you could try the fan test. Yes I know people said not to do it but its a way for the people at sony to get the disc out. Make sure you turn it off as soon as you do to avoide any damage. But if you don't want to do that send it into sony.theMarshell
TC's post is from last June...
Okay, the same thing happened to me and I managed to get the disc out. First is the blue light on. If it isnt then you should hold the eject button and use another cd and push it into the disc drive and gently push your stuck disc around. When you hold the eject button your PS3 will make a loud clicking sound but dont worry. Just keep using the extra disc and push the stuck disc around and it should come out.jasonyuwhatever you do DONT DO THIS. and if you cant see why then i really cant help you

Dude it worked for me. Im mean if you dont want to try then dont but if you are really gentle then it would be fine. I mean you dont have your warrenty you can either have a really big paper weight or a $150 bill form Sony to fix it. If you are going to send it in for Sony to fix it minus well try my way.

SOME!!!!!?!?!?????? that was the most hilarious thing ive evr seen on gamespot.
Refresh my memory, I don't remember.ChubbyBiddy
Funniest thing I have read in ages check it out @ im scrwd what do i do! and I got it Out! I repeat the balogna is out
Don't try manually ejecting it, do it from the Cross Media Bar Menu, and see it it works. If it doesn't work, call up SONY.
ive got the same prob about 5 mins ago, i was so cared that i wont have my ps3 for a long time if i had to send it to sony for repair but i googled it and, what you have to do is wen the ps3 is on, just press the eject button and you will here a slow clicking noise and then it goes fast and then slow and then it stops and the disk ejects, but in my case i have to do it all the time as my disks wont eject!!!!!!!!!B-L-I-N-G-A-Hget back to my post and use the "shaking" method
Dude, I'm going to try it again, but how in the world? I'm trying to get the disc under the other but there's no chance. The same CD got stuck in the 360 too! Got it out though. Damn CD.
SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!This is the situation... My ps3 just up and quit on me. When i turn the power on in the back, and then try and turn it on from the front, it acts like its going to turn on, and then 5 seconds later all it does is blink a red light. And this happens every time i try it. If know one doesn'tknow how to fix that, WITHOUT SENDING IT IN, can someone at least tell me how to get my game out of the ps3?
I have to send my PS3 in for repair because of this same eject/play problem. The other day I inserted a dvd. Nothing happened. I couldn't play it as the system didn't recognize that it was inserted. Then I couldn't eject it. Nor force eject it. I've tried powering off/on and eject countless times. No luck. The PS3 ate my dvd.
And to all you people treating others with this same problem like idiots ("are you sure you inserted a disk" "did you force eject it" etc). . . get a life, you're not being helpful at all here. If you google this problem, you would know that it is quite common.

In my case, I can't try pushing with an extra disc. My PS3 (the 80gb version) has a safety mechanism in the center of the slot that blocks another disc from being inserted if one is already inside. This was the ****! When I turned it off while holding the button, the PS3 went into some debugmode (blinking strange) and on it's own first try, out came the cd!Turn off the system, then hold the eject button down, keep holding it down. Then turn the system back on. Do not let go of the eject button.

It just happened to me and i got a toothpick pushed the flap of the part where it ejects from and pressed eject and it worked somehow

Does it still work after doing that?
BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!! i broke 2 games that way, one game ended up getting alot of scratches like a power sander went over it and the other one fractured and has a crack through the middle....... however.......... the console is fine.Okay, the same thing happened to me and I managed to get the disc out. I knew COD BO 2 would be the death of my ps3 but I sucker punched that crappy game out and will no longer play it!
