Help PS3 question!

So I was playing Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 today and it froze and the system turned off. Now when I turn it on it goes straight to the yellow light of death. This is the second time my ps3 60 GB has gotten yellow light of death. I bought it new and it lasted 2 years then got yellow light of death. I got it fixed and it lasted only a year and today it got yellow light of death. Should I buy a slim or spend $150 and let sony fix it. Also how do I get my game out. Thanks in advance!

You can open up the system to get your game out i followed a tutorial offyoutube and it was not that hard. However if you do that they may not do the fix or trade for you when you send it in.thats what i was told and now my 60gb is in my closet collecting dust and not being fixed(They are offering a slim for 119 when you send it in to get fixed but it is refurbished).
