Hi I just purchased a 32" Soniq LCD TV from JB Hi-Fi but I when I play a game it goes to static for a second before the game starts and then if I quit the game it does the same. This makes it so that I can't use the TV for the sound becuase of the loud static. Is this a fault with the TV or PS3?The TV is 720p/1080i and I have it set up in 720p with a HDMI cable.

you mean i swithces resolution when you start up a game and quit a game?.. because mine does that and i can't possibly see how that can be annoying.. i mean pc games do that al the time.. its just the hdtv switching to a different resolution or receiving new information about the resolution the game is going to play at or the xmb is going to be displayed at and it switching.

Ok, so its just it switching the res.I wouldn't mind to much but the it sounds like it would be damaging the TV's speakers.
