Hitman: Absolution (opinions?)

haven't seen many threads discussing this game so i figured i'd post one.. anyone looking forward to this game? preordered it? do ya think the story will be worth a damn or will it just get multiplayer'd to death? i got really high hopes for this game after seeing how good max payne 3 was, even a bit excited.. anyways yea... opinions?

It will certainly be story-driven, but I wouldn't be surprised to see tacked-on multiplayer. I'm very much looking forward to the game, I think from a visual standpoint it looks very impressive, and from the scenes of gameplay I've seen, the stealth looks extremely good. Can't wait for it's release!

Its my most anticipated title this year! Blood Money is one of my favourite games ever along with Silent Assassin so naturally im really excited! Dont even worry about multiplayer, the devs were asked and their answer was "47 works alone". Im slightly worried the game will be too linear though, the save games at anytime are now gone and have been replaced with checkpoints. I really hate all this hand holding thats done these days, they are trying to appeal to "Non-hitman" fans more than the actual fans... I loved the very overwhelming experience of starting a new level and trying all these different doors to see where they lead, the developers have said people dont like this as it confusing...

Still crazily excited but i just have my doubts, the Sniper Challenge pre-order bonus is really awesome and im loving the 60FPS gameplay. Glacier 2 is an impressive engine, really detailed and silky smooth.

My guess is it'll be a lot less cerebral and a lot more "pew, pew" toaccommodate those casuals I adore so much :evil:

Been looking forward to it since the day I beat Blood Money. And yes, I have the professional edition on pre-order and I can't freaking wait for Agent 47 :D

It's going to be rad! If you've seen some of the trailers on youtube, the sneaking and killing is on a whole new level. Agent 47 is like a cross between Jason Bourne and Ezio.

I don't believe there will be a multiplayer for Absolution. The single-player mode will be good enough anyway.

I'm concerned by this as well. I'm a huge Hitman fan, and I'm glad that the series is back, but I'm worried that they are making too many chagnes. The game looks like it's more linear, but hopefully I'm wrong. I'm also disappointed that the guy who voice acted Agent 47 is not returning and the guy who did the music for the series is gone.
