'Home' coming this month?

I'm as skeptical as anyone when it comes to Home, but I found this yesterday. I don't know how credible this site is, but I'll show it anyways.

It's been stated that Home will come out in Spring 08, so the probabilities of it coming out will start increasing after March 21st

I know its been discussed before, and I'm aware of that its stated to come out this spring. I just wanted to show the site that is stating that it will be released this month. March 21st is 5 days away, so this could be good. Early spring is better than late spring, right?

Can i just say, thats a very cool signature animation.

And Home is looking good, althought im afraid it might be like them crappy free MMOS where its free sure, but if you want more than total standard stuff, better pull out the credit card.

Does nobody have patience anymore .. everyone is so spoiled and wants everything right now, yet if it came out now and had mad glitches people would be cursing SONY for releasing such a glitchy product. Man it'll be done when its done.

the reason why everyone is so impatient is becuase sony promised this would be out in fall of 2007, and where are we now a few days away from spring of 2008 if sony cant keep a release date then dont give one this thing was announced a year ago and sony claims its been working on this for years since ps2 how much beta testing needs to be done after all this time

You realize they completely re-did the program based on the original beta test right?
They haven't been beta testing it for a year, they've been re-doing the entire thing while slowely putting out new updates to the closed beta group to get their opinion on the additions, if they had released the original beta model, it would have been a massive flop, however, the re-done version is stacking up to be great, so, the key here, is just be patient. We waiting extra time for the ps3 itself to be put out, and look how well it turned out, waiting extra time for HOME to come out as a spectacular product is worth it.

I don't buy that, because a Beta is there to get rid of the bugs... if they want to get rid of them before they do an open beta, that totally defeats the purpose of it. Now that I'm on that topic, their closed beta is pretty much worthless if you ask me. Not enough people on to give enough feedback, and really test the stabilities of these servers. Open beta should have already came, and gone to get this out on time.

If Sony is smart, and I know they are... you get Home out before all these great titles come out. In my opinion, that's before GTAIV. But it needs to def. beat out MGS4, KZ2, R:FOM2, LBP, etc. etc.

Sony has long said that the PS3 is a 10 year system. It's been out what? Almost 2 years now? That gives PS3 owners another 8 years to enjoy the service. My guess is that, depending on the success of home, should a PS4 roll out, Home would probably serve as the online hub for that system as well. In my opinion, it's never to late when it comes to improving an existing product.

No WAY!!! is home gonna be out before MGS4 are you KIDDING!?!?!? The 80 gig ps3 MGS4 bundle will be released very soon i dont know the exact date but pretty much as soon as all the 80 gig motostorm bundles are sold playstation is releasing the new bundle with MGS4. Plus as far as im concerned they can keep testing and whatnot as long as they want to make home as good as it can possibly be.

I'll tell you as a beta tester myself the closed beta is crucial. They have enough people to test its not just the United States PSN users is users from across the world Asian territories and European territories. The reasons its has been pushed back so much is that we gave our feed back of the original and they devs have upgraded home since. Now seeing what we got now is most likely the final product they have been giving us things that will be in the final product and ask for our suggestions of what to improve on. So no the closed beta is not a waste

I'm a member of the Gamer Advisory Panel at Playstation.com, and that LINK to the site you gave doesn't show what the ACTUAL post said. The "post" actually has nothing to do with HOME. I normally wouldn't post something from the G.A.P forum here, but the post itself applies to alot of people and it shouldn't be a problem. Here's what the post said:

"Hey GAP members, I know a lot of you are pretty attached to your online handles, and you use them not just here on GAP, but on a variety of other online sites, gaming related & otherwise. I wanted to make sure you know that you can reserve your PSN ID today, even if you don't have a PS3, Just click here to go to the web version of the PS Store & register for a PSN account. That way you can make sure no one else takes your handle until your ready to use it."

So there you have it, it was nothing about HOME. Just so you know, HOME will be released in the middle of summer, not fall, around June-July.

Rifle is a closed beta tester. Several people on the forums can confirm this.

they are aiming for 10 years total life in the veign of ps2. the ps2 truly had 5-6(i forget excactly which) but it continues to sell 3rd party games to casuals that havent made the jump to ps3. sure there will be a couple big games released for ps3 after ps4 is released, but mostly it will be junk like what the ps2 is getting right now. so technically, the ps3 may live 10 years, but it will only be getting major releases for the usual 5 year span. sony will not skip the upcoming generation. anything else is just a corporate spin.

I Love my PS3 and would LOVE to see the Interface Compete and SURPass that experience of the Excellent Online Interface on my other systems... Well System.
