Any one play the game lately? Before PSN got shut down? The game had alot of problems at launch and I haven't followed up in a while so I'm wondering if THQ did anything? Maybe now they can fix their servers? Nerkle01
There is an update out, but since PSN is down it will not let anyone download it.

Actually if you pop the game disc in you might be able to download a patch even with PSN down.
I bought SOCOM4 yesterday, and when I started it prompted me to download patch 1.02. I of course was not connected to PSN, but it went ahead and downloaded the patch anyway. I guess you can still download updates, even though you probably won't make much use of them until you actually get to play online.

I tried yesterday and it said that I cannot download it because I am not connected to PSNI'm interesting in buying Homefront, but opinions on the game seem to vary pretty wildly. I should probably just rent it.

I was surprised it even asked me to download a patch, but for SOCOM4 it downloaded and installed all the way through no problem. So maybe Zipper has servers for their patches entirely separate from PSN, maybe some games need PSN (for patch updates) and some don't.
