How Awesome Do You Believe Metal Gear Solid: Rising Will Be???

i can't wait for it to come out i think it will be awesome but they changed "tactical espionage action" to "lightning bolt action" is it telling us its a different style of game to the other mgs? or just a clever play on words?

Kojima mentioned the game will still be stealth based with new gameplay elements. And Lightning Bolt Action is also just a homage to Raiden meaning Thunder and Lightning in Japanese and of course Raidens lightning fast movements and lightning powers :)

I think it'll be a good game, it wont have theKojima feel that the other's have granted, but as long as he's overseeing it it'll hold it's own. I doubt Kojima will let some other guy crap on the Legend he created... It wont be as classic as MGS1, 2, 3 or 4, werebut i think it will be worth forking out $60 to $80 for. In the end Snake will still be a bad ass, vamp a twisted a-hole and raiden a coolninja. Does anyone know anything about the plot, story, anything? All i know is the name.

Id say it would have some hack and slash given Raiden's nature with some stealth, (a la Tenchu somewhat perhaps) dunno how good it will be though.

I'm not that excited for it to be honest and I'm a huge MGS fan...I've played them all a dozen times. 1) Kojima is not responsible for this game and he said in an interview that the story of Snake finished with MGS4 which is his last installment of the series...so to me it's over. It's been amazing. Maybe this spin off his team is doing will be good but it deffinately doesn't have the same excitement from me as Kojimas masterpieces did. I hope they don't damage the name.JordanKid

I wonder if we'll be playing as "human Raiden" for the first half if it takes place right after MGS2.

I would assume his supports are Dr. Madnar and whomever his scout master was when he "drifted".

I wouldn't mind some detailed back story of some of the tech found in MGS4 (such as the Gekko for example).

If we do get the "rescue Sunny" part in the game. I wonder how the Metal Gear universe will portray "Area 51"

I have good expectations for the so-called "new-breed" of Team Kojima... The master may not be with the development, but they steal carry the name and i think they know what they're doing... I'll just hope that it's gonna be a good one, eventhough it's a multiplat... while also getting excited with the project that themaster is currently focusing on... MGS: Peace Walker. 8)

but we cant say for sure . the most concerning thing and the thing that will determine its success is the gameplay. the story will be great because they cant risk it here. in other words , they wouldnt have announced this if it is a gamble with the story. we have to wait for the next trailer to come with a gameplay to show. doesnt matter with the release date. for all those who say kojima isnt the director. portable ops isnt directed by kojima. look how did it came.

I don't really know much about it so far... but No Kojima, no Tactical Espionage Action, no sale..

Peace Walker on the other hand... dear god do i hope the JPN bundle makes it over here!
