Anyone know a fast way of cooling down the 360??

Keep it off carpet and out of closed areas and you shouldn't have problems. The best way to cool it off is to turn it off and go outside.

and leave it off too.
Wouldn't go that far. I'm a 360 owner and fan. But seriously, the only reasonable way to cool off the system is to turn it off. Maybe blow a fan on it or something. But I'm curious as to why you want to cool the 360 off quickly? I've left mine on for like... 6-8 hours more than a few times, and it never really gets that warm. And it's an original 360 with the original chipset, so it would be the most likely to get hot.But I'm curious as to why you want to cool the 360 off quickly? Curious huh? So do you also run to work with scissors in your hand across a super-highway dressed in "asphalt-grey" or regularly play one-man Russian Roulette? That is a gamble my friend.
BTW, Mr. Moderator. I realize this is in the PS3 forum, but right before yesterday's maintenance the topic was "How do I cool down my Xbox fast?" and was in the 360 forum. I swears it :) .

Not sure what you meant by that, but OK.Ah. Haha. Well It's not like I leave it running constantly and for no reason. I mean for large downloads and things, every once in a while, I'll leave my Xbox on for quite a while. I've only encountered RRoD once though, and my Xbox is in a very well ventilated area. I think I'm safe. My main point was that there's no real reason to want to cool down an Xbox quickly. In fact, cooling anything that's running at a high temperature quickly is pretty likely to mess it up. Rapid heating/cooling of metal, plastic, or glass is almost universally seen as a "no-no."I mean leaving it runningfor so long. Esp. a first gen 'Box.
