you can, in theory, as this was a feature induced to our ps3's on a fw update long time ago, but i think its up to the devs to use it or not. I think battlefield has it, but tbh I dont know other games that may use it. So your best bet is to look for a list online and see if any of your games is in there or buy a cheap capture card

Unless a dev uses the built in feature in the ps3 firmware (not many games do this) your only other option is to buy a capture card. SD ones are quite cheap, but HD ones are quite expensive.
I think Resistance 1 let you plug in a keyboard and hit printscreen... but i dont think this works on any other games
