I never had a problem with fallout on ps3, im asking about the actual game. Id it a buncha fetch missions and is it only melee?Yes, if you have a decent PC get it on that. I can't stress how much better it is over either the PS3 or Xbox versions. The PS3 version isn't horrible or unplayable, but it does suffer from a lot of framerate issues and bugs.

Its a great game, but I think the Fallout series just POOPS all over TES series. In particular, I think the SPECIAL system is much more interesting, the universe and characters much more intriguing, and the dark humor and survival all amazing.
Skyrim is fun, but even with the PC version I have and some decent mods, its not as epic to me as vanilla Fallout 3 or New Vegas. Admittedly though, it is incredibly beautiful and gives me high hopes for the next Fallout game on that engine.
Skyrim is the better game, but Fallout is the better RPG.
Skyrim is a much more polished game than Fallout; the graphics look a lot nicer, the animations are better, the combat is smoother, ect. The one major problem I have with Skyrim though is the leveling system. You level up by increasing your skills, just like the other Elder Scrolls games. The problem with this though is that some skills are almost impossible to get maxed if you're playing the game normally, and because of this, you'll have to grind and do trivial things in order to level some of the skills. In contrast, in Fallout you level up by completing quests, completing challenges, and killing enemies. So in other words, you have to be actually accomplishing goals to level in Fallout, where in Skyrim you level up by making hundreds of iron daggers, or casting a magic spell over and over gain on yourself just to level the skill up. You could choose not to grind in Skyrim, but if you do, many skills will likely never hit 100.
TL;DR - Skyrim is more polished, and has better gameplay, but Fallout has a better leveling up system.
