How Is Life On The Vita?

I still very much want this handheld and have to ask if any indie or 3rd party devs are keeping the system alive? There are a few games I want on there but is it worth it? The handheld seems to be both a meme and left behind by the gaming community. It really sucks because it looks like a fantastic piece of hardware.

Muramasa Rebirth is the main game I want on that system because it is a drop dead gorgeous looking game. I have the original on Wii and was totally sucked in when Atlus announced Rebirth. I'm a huge fan of 2D beat em up games so Phantom Breaker is also on top of my list even though I have it for both PC and PS4.

@-paranorman-: If you're interested in JRPG's, there is plenty to enjoy. As for anything else, I wouldn't say the console is worth it. It is an awful situation, as it is a wonderful piece of hardware which had a lot of potential, if only the support was there.

If you love anime and Indie games then it's alive and kicking! If you like Western only then it's dead now.

Uncharted Golden Abyss, Killzone Mercenaries, LittleBigPlanet, TearaWay, Minecraft, Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2, Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice Gods Among Us, Sony Allstars, God of War 1 and 2, Jak Collection, Sly Cooper Collection, Wipeout, Wolf Among Us and Resistance are the few things to look forward to if you only like Western games.

Thanks for letting me know you guys! I think I might pick it up. I really love indie games and like how they are closer to classic games I grew up with than the new games coming out today.

Indie games and JRPG's are the strength of the Vita, and I use mine all the time.

PSV has been dead for years now.

I havnt taken mine out of the closet for a couple of years.

I bought the Borderlands 2 bundle and don't regret it. Some game recommendations: Killzone Mercenary, One Way Heroics, Unepic, Y's Memories of Celceta, God Eater Ressurection, Escha and Logy Plus, Street Fighter Aplha 3 Max. Asdivine Hearts.

There are so many more good games. Defenitely worth a buy if you like handhelds.

If you're new to it, then yeah, there's plenty to play depending on your tastes. I don't feel there's much to look forward to, but I still find the occasional game to play on it that's already been released.

If you love Indie games then the PSVita is the best portable game console for this.

how much does it cost these days?

Vita is my primary system because I don't have current-gen consoles or PC that's capable of running anything better than PS2 graphics. But also, I live in Asia right now, where Vita is a lot stronger.

I'm playing Ys 8 on it right now, and it's great. However, XSeed will probably release only the PS4 version in NA.

Once I get PS4 (hopefully in Feb), I plan to use it more as a remote play device, since I share TV with family.
