i believe it is actually worth getting animated features on blu-ray. just like its live acting counterpart, the picture quality on animated blu-ray movies turn out much crisper than its dvd version. blu-ray cartoons should be taken in consideration especially nowadays when companies like Dreamwworks and Pixar blur the lines of realism with more depth and detail of their character models and settings. nonetheless, Gotham Knight was freakin awesome to watch on blu-ray moreso because of the 6 different animation styles used (and i mean different). also the sound quality is of course improved. but like all blu-rays, one can never really appreciate its technology if not watched on an hdtv (well duh, you know that. i'm an idiot). i guess you may want to pick and choose which cartoon you'd wanna buy on blu-ray. i mean, would you get Spongebob Squarepants if it came out on blu-ray? LOL. well maybe...
